University of South Australia
City Campuses
City East Campus
Situated in the vibrant heart of Adelaide in
the CBD, the City East Campus is located
on the corner of North Terrace and Frome
Road. The campus offers an abundance
of hands-on learning opportunities,
services, and social and leisure activities
to complement your academic pursuits.
The campus is home to the University’s
Division of Health Sciences, SAIBT and
the Centre for English Language in the
University of South Australia (CELUSA).
City West Campus
Located in Adelaide’s major arts, culture and
entertainment precinct, City West provides a
hub for artists and academics alike, and an
atmosphere that is ripe for the exploration
of ideas and the pursuit of excellence.
The campus is located on the western edge
of the CBD, just a short stroll along North
Terrace from Adelaide Railway Station.
Situated on the campus is the University
of South Australia Business School and
selected programs from the Division of
Education, Arts and Social Sciences.

Mawson Lakes Campus
Located in one of Adelaide’s premier
developing suburbs, the Mawson
Lakes campus boasts contemporary
teaching, learning and state-of-the-art
research facilities. The campus is located
20 minutes from the Adelaide city
centre, on Mawson Lakes Boulevard in
Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Mawson Lakes is well known for its
computing and information technology,
engineering, science, civil aviation, applied
science, sports science, e-commerce and
environmental studies programs.
Magill Campus
Nestled near the Adelaide Hills foothills in
the leafy eastern suburbs, Magill campus
has lush gardens and open spaces,
providing a relaxed and picturesque setting
in which to learn and grow.
Magill campus is around seven
kilometres from central Adelaide.
It is located on St Bernards Road,
very close to amenity-rich Magill Road.
The campus is host to programs and
research in the areas of communication,
journalism and media, information studies,
education, psychology, social work and
human services, international studies
and languages.

Certificate IV in Tertiary
Preparation Program
The Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation
Program prepares students for entry into a
SAIBT Diploma. It is designed for students
who have completed the equivalent of Year
11 at an Australian high school and/or need
to undertake further study before starting a
SAIBT Diploma.
SAIBT has an agreement with Le Cordon
Bleu, the world-famous institute of
culinary arts, gastronomy and hospitality
management. The Certificate IV (Business
stream), provides a foundation for direct
entry into the Bachelor of Business
(International Hotel Management) or
Bachelor of Business (Culinary Management)
conducted by Le Cordon Bleu. For more

The Certificate IV (Engineering stream)
provides a pathway in to the first year of
a University of South Australia Bachelor
of Aviation. For further information on the

Diploma of Arts
The Diploma of Arts introduces students
to contemporary issues in society, and the
influence of culture and communication,
as well as providing foundation concepts
to assist the students’ progress in to their
chosen art degree program at the University
of South Australia.
Diploma of Business
The Diploma of Business introduces students
to the fundamental knowledge required
to successfully undertake a key range of
business undergraduate degree programs
at the University of South Australia.
Diploma of Health Science
The Diploma of Health Science introduces
students to the physiological, psychological,
social and cultural elements involved in health
care, and provides the foundation for further
study in a health science related degree
program at the University of South Australia.
Diploma of Technology
(Engineering and Environment)
The Diploma of Engineering is designed
to provide students with the necessary
skills, knowledge and understanding that
will enable them to articulate into a range
of degree programs from the Division of
IT, Engineering & the Environment at the
University of South Australia.
Diploma of Technology
(Information Technology)
The Diploma of Technology (Information
Technology) provides the necessary skills,
knowledge and understanding that will
enable students to articulate into a range
of IT degree programs at the University of
South Australia.
Associate Degree

The Associate degree in Management is a
two year program designed for students who
aspire to take on a senior administration role
such as: Office Manager, Business Manager
or Executive Officer.
The Associate Degree offers an internship
and career development for students in
their second year of the program. Upon
completion of the program, students are
eligible to proceed into the second year of a
University of South Australia undergraduate
degree program.
Program accreditation
SAIBT is a registered Higher Education
Provider, approved by the Australian
Government. The College delivers programs
which comply with the National Code
of Practice for Registration Authorities
and Providers of Education and Training
to Overseas Students 2007 which is
established under the Commonwealth
Education Services for Overseas Students
(ESOS) Act 2000.
What is a GPA?
A GPA is the total number of points achieved
divided by the total number of courses
studied. To proceed to the University of
South Australia, a minimum GPA must be
achieved in the Diploma, ranging from 4.0
for Business to 6.0 for some Health Science

Adelaide is a safe, friendly, cosmopolitan
city with a population of 1.2 million and
a relaxed outdoor lifestyle. The city is
surrounded by 900 hectares of lush green
parklands and is situated only 20 minutes
from white sandy beaches.
For three in years in succession, Adelaide
has remained Australia’s most liveable
city according to a report released by the
Property Council of Australia. Importantly,
Adelaide has also been rated Australia’s
