FTP members universally indicated their difficulty in locating the marked up version of Part 61.
Discussion re protocols for ATO’s when a flight test – retest scenario spans the pre/post Sept 1
date.
 Discussion on RPL flight test protocols re the handling of RPL endorsements.
 Discussion on the RPL flight review requirements/ guidance material specific to transitioning
RAAus pilots – Sally Scott and Michael Apps to review and report next meeting.
 There was significant discussion pertaining to the content of FER PCs.
 Discussion on cyclic training under Part 61- Kerry Nolan to liaise with Simon Henderson re
specific airline issues.
 Roger Crosthwaite to report on progress of MCC course guidance material - next meeting
 Discussion on FS10/22, command training in simulators, general simulation issues and the use
and application of FSTDs in aircrew training. Roger Crosthwaite briefed panel on project status.
Potential for further work in 2015. The panel members requested that if possible Quentin Fuller
make presentation to next meeting on FSTD approval processes.
 Discussion on present Day VFR Syllabus requirements, integrated training and what would be
acceptable under Part 61. Sally Scott to co-ordinate off-line discussion with interested
panel members and provide consolidated input to CASA.
 Discussion on the Part 61 transition arrangements for instructor trainees
 Discussion on 61.1230 requirements for flight reviews conducted outside a 141/142
organisation.
 The panel members requested CASA clarify process to access correct version of Part 61.
Roger Crosthwaite undertook to advise when an interim communications solution had
been developed.
 Discussion on FEH FE Hours requirements. Kerry Nolan undertook to review the hours
requirements.
 Discussion on November Meeting Dates. Ian Ogilvie to review and contact members to
resolve next meeting dates.
