Primary Responsibilities
WSC and OI Event Preparation & Involvement
 Assist with development and implementation of activities for the International Youth Forum
(IYF) and Spectacular (Spec)
o Attendance/full participation at IYF and Spec required.
 IYF: July 15 – 18, Independence, MO
 Spec: July 19 – 26, Lamoni, IA (Graceland University)
WSC Alumni Connection
 Enter alumni records in database.
 Develop online survey for alumni (content determined by Program Coordinator).
 Contact alumni via social media and/or email to invite them to be Alumni Advocates of WSC in
their region.
MyOutreach campaign creation and promotion
 Deliver a millennial generation relevant interactive campaign for two large youth event.
 Create class materials and activities that will attract a captive and engaged audience.
 Organize and lead a two-hour outdoor showcase event of WSC and OI
WSC and OI Recruitment & Promotion
 Prepare packets of WSC and OI information and presentations to share with camps, and church
leadership “on the road”.
 Create WSC accounts and profiles for LinkedIn and Flickr. (Reach out to current volunteers in the
field to upload photos to Flickr.)


Organize and set up new OI social media accounts that best relate to campaign objectives
Brainstorm and research attractive WSC booth display ideas.
Program Assistance
 Other duties as assigned, if time permits.

 Self-motivation; ability to work effectively on an individual basis, and seek clarification/direction
when needed.
 Excellent organizational skills
 Demonstrated ability to create, prepare and facilitate activities
 Collaborative; ability to work well with others
 Formal communication skills (written emails, phone calls)
 Competence and/or quick ability to learn to use various computer programs & social media sites
 Knowledge of global and poverty-related issues
 Awareness of and interest in the mission and message of Outreach International and World
Service Corps, a ministry of Community of Christ.
 Registered Youth Worker with Community of Christ (or willingness to become registered)
Additional Information
Office Hours
 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 4 days per week, except during the weeks of camps (more time required);
Specific schedule may be coordinated with supervisors.
