2014 PGA PAYOUT INSTRUCTIONS
It was certainly the most exciting major of the year and my eyes were glued to the
screen when Rickie Fowler’s somewhat meaningless putt lipped out on the 18th green. It
was already too late for him to catch leader Rory McIlroy but it was just in the nick of
time for my Hair Gel for Mary 06 entry to catch Art Vandelay 05 at -40 and tie for the big
money in the pool. As the scores at Valhalla were VERY low, Kruzoff 05's excellent -39
was good only for third place. There was a three way tie for 4/5/6 at -37 among
JuniorCash06, peewee 11, and another Hair Gel for Mary. Newcomer Kenny K5
copped the Beatty at +4. Other winners included KR-Woody 2 and Yeti #3 splitting the
Thursday daily; Yeti #6 winning the Friday daily and WTW 1 taking the Friday overall;
Mrs Buccos 01 and RKBA03 splitting the Saturday daily while Art Vandelay 05 took the
third round overall; and, finally, peewee11 taking the Sunday daily. We ended up with a
total of 632 entries in the pool for a total prize amount of $12,640. Those figures do not
include 6 entries that were dropped from the pool after Kuchar’s last minute withdrawal.
Several of the winners mentioned above do not appear in the payment sections below
as they didn’t win enough to cover their entry fees and are still paying the balance of
their fees to other winners. Note that most of the payees below have a Paypal id. If you
are paying via Paypal, don’t forget to click on “Sending money to family and friends”
on the Send Money page to avoid fees. Also, please enter your entry name (and
nothing else) in the Notes area at Paypal or in the Memo area of your checks. This
allows the person receiving the money to keep track of who has paid. DO NOT enter
“pool” or anything similar that will let Paypal know we are using them to pay off
gambling debts.

Now it's up to you. Please make those payments right away, especially if
you are relying on snail mail. I only had a few payments to track down
after the British Open payment deadline. Please keep up the good work on the PGA,
which seems to be the event with the most payment problems. I'll be checking
with the winners in two weeks on Tuesday, August 26th and I will be VERY
disappointed if there are any outstanding payments at that time. The only thing that
could keep me from running these pools in the future is if I have to spend a lot of time
dealing with slow payments.
