the implementation team to develop all project levels and phases in parallel. Gone is the tedious blueprint phase;
KPS’ prototype-based approach enables companies to get to the core of the system architecture much faster. Since
the business departments were involved on an ongoing basis, Dansk Supermarked was able to launch the test and
implementation phase sooner. That cut implementation time and costs – Netto went online in Poland and Germany
in 2012; Netto, Føtex, Bilka and Salling followed in Denmark in 2013/14.

SAP Retail was able to map all business processes of all four formats, thanks to the robust methodology and the seniority
of the consultant team, but also to KPS’ strict commitment to meet all of the milestones. “That gave us the motivation we
needed to stick to the schedule and complete all the tasks, without sacrificing quality,” explains Alan Jensen.
THE CHALLENGE
Often it is not only the project’s cost, but also its complexity that keeps companies from investing in integrated business pro-

THE SOLUTION
Dansk Supermarked decided to partner with KPS Consulting, a consultancy with a proven track record in comparable transformation
projects. The standard SAP® Retail package was selected to link all
transactions, sales centers and end users. “The challenge was to map
the complexity of all the processes in one central solution – in the
shortest possible amount of time,” explains Josef Richter, the responsible Managing Partner at KPS. “We decided to launch the system
gradually, format by format.” KPS’ specialized approach enabled the
multinational team to collaborate successfully and quickly. “The KPS
Rapid Transformation® method is different from conventional methods. Implementing complex transformation projects has to be quick,
universal and successful, without impacting day-to-day business. We
achieved that goal together. After only 13 months, we went live with
the pilot system ‘Netto’ in Sweden,” Alan Jensen reports.
”
KPS has excellent references. The combination of the consultants’ experience and the KPS Rapid Transformation® method is
very unique. We were able to generate ROI faster, while minimizing project risk.
