CEID Workshop Developer, Center for Engineering Innovation and Design (CEID), 2013 – present.
• Designed and developed workshops with Prof. Lawrence Wilen, CEID design mentor. Co-led a flute building
workshop and assisted with a bubble physics workshop. Fabricated workshop materials and electronics using
machinery such as the CNC Mill, lathe, laser cutter and 3D printer. • Taught and independently led a popular workshop on basic DJing and the electronics of music controllers. • Aided students with individual projects undertaken at the CEID
Senior Thesis in Applied Physics, Advisors: Prof. Roman Kuc & Prof. Lawrence Wilen, Yale University, 2014
• “Surrogate soundboards for novel real-time transmission of instrumental audio” – year long research
• Currently developing a novel method of audio transmission between a live violin and a surrogate soundboard that
can faithfully reproduce the same vibrational mechanics as the source violin.
MUSI 471: Independent Study, Advisor: Prof. Konrad Kaczmarek, Yale University Department of Music, 2013
• Built a program in Max/MSP for the Leap Motion device that allows musical control of software instruments
using hand motion and finger gestures over the sensor. • Created a motion-augmented granular synthesizer and developed motion augmentation for existing synthesizers • Implemented a novel method of “spatial mixing of audio effects” for live music performance in Ableton Live • Constructed a 6-channel hemispherical speaker for performance of original electronic music Publications

Yale University Jazz Ensemble (YJE), Pianist and Composer, 2011 - Present
• Played piano in the ensemble for the last 3 seasons and performed in concerts on and off campus.
• Composed two featured and well-received pieces for the YJE: Tuk Tuk’n (2012) and Tom Yum Kung (2014)
Kiss Me Kate, Orchestral pianist and rehearsal pianist, 2013
• Performed on piano and celeste in the 45-piece orchestra led by renowned conductor David Charles Abell’81. The
production was named by the Hartford Courante as one of the top theater events of 2013
