Merit Badge Pre-Registration Procedures
First determine what badges each Scout needs for rank advancement.
On the camp website, www.ldscamp.org, select “Merit Badge” on the Menu Bar
then select “Merit Badge Info.”
Merit badges being offered at camp are listed along with the counselor
information, current BSA requirements, Special Instructions and Prerequisites.
Next select “Available Sessions.”
You can either select a badge and list all the periods the badge is being offered or
select a period and list all the badges being offered that period.
Note: Some badges only take a partial week to complete. For example, a Scout may
be able to take one badge Period 1, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and a
different badge Period 1, Thursday and Friday.
Some classes may only meet once. The Scout works on the badge during his free
time and returns to the counselor to show the completed project.
Review the badges with each Scout and determine together what he should work on
at camp and why. There should be a balance of both required and fun badges.
Select alternative badges in case the first choices are not available.

Merit Badge Registration Procedure
On the camp website, www.ldscamp.org, select the “Merit Badges” button then
select “Register.” Log in using the username and password provided by your
Stake Scouting Coordinator.
Select the name of one of your Scouts from the list in the frame on the left (Stake>Troop->Scout an left side frame).
You have two options for registering.
(a) Select the badge the Scout wants to take and select a period that it is being
offered or
(b) select a period and find a badge the Scout wants to take during that period.
Continue this process until the Scout is registered for all the badges he wants to
take.
Repeat the process for all the Scouts in your troop.
A Scout registered as Eagle Corps will be pre-registered for the periods he will be
assisting with a class. Email [email protected] to modify his schedule.
When you have finished registering everyone, print a registration report. Both
summary and detailed reports are available.
Notify the Scouts which badges they will be doing a camp. Inform them of the
special instructions and prerequisites.
