2014 - LFV JR. Boys Tier 2 Rugby Just a few important reminders… 1. Reporting Scores The winning team is to EMAIL the score by no later than the Lunchtime of the day after the game. In the subject heading, make sure you indicate that it is a JR Score. Please note the highest margin of victory that will be recorded is 25 points. If you are gain a five try lead in a game the opposition coach has the option of putting into play the “fair play rule”. Once this has been agreed upon the final score will be recorded as what the score of the game currently is. The game has been won by the team with the 5 try lead and the final score has been settled. It is then expected that the winning coach does everything possible to create a fair game that will result in the losing teams players wanting to continue playing rugby the next day. (ie. Remove all of your best players from the game, depower scrums, put your players in new positions, play with less players). Essentially you are expected to be a fair, respectful person and try and grow the game of rugby in our district. Email scores to – [email protected] *Standings will be updated on Esportsdesk - http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/pick_league.cfm?clientID=2621&leagueID=0 2. Referees The home team is responsible to provide a certified referee to officiate their home games. If unable to find a referee, then the host team must contact their scheduled opponent to work out an appropriate solution. A Level 1 certification through Rugby Canada is now the minimum standard for officiating a rugby game – no exceptions! 3. Rugby Rules - KICK OFF at 3:30 (unless mutually agreed upon otherwise) - Unlimited substitutions for the regular season. Playoffs – TBA… - ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A MOUTHGUARD! 4. Red Cards/Inappropriate Conduct All red cards/serious issues of player behavior must be reported to the FVSSRU Discipline Committee along with the description of the incident from the referee, and the head coach from each team. FVSSRU Discipline Committee – 1. Dave Kaye (chair) – [email protected] 2. Jorge Knizek 3. Greg Byron 5. Playing with less than a full side If a coach realizes that they may not be able to field a full 15-man side, then they must contact the other coach to explain the circumstances. If a mutual agreement cannot be worked out, then the team with the incomplete side would lose via forfeit, 5-0. Please keep in mind this is a developmental league with different programs being at different levels of development. The goal is to grow the game of rugby. 6. Tie Breakers formula Most Wins / Head to Head / Least amount of points allowed / Total points scored / Coin Toss *3 way tie? Point For/Against amongst the 3 teams involved will be the tie breaker. Best wishes for a successful season… Mike Jamieson 604-341-6268 League Organization LFV Tier #2 Burnsview, Clayton Heights, Earl Marriott, Fleetwood, North Surrey, Queen Elizabeth, Seaquam, Semiahmoo, South Delta, Southridge, Sullivan Heights and Tamanawis. 2014 LFV Jr. Boys Tier Two League Schedule *Home team is listed FIRST.
