PROGRAM FOR MEN
 Every 12 seconds a woman is beaten in the
US.
 Children from violent homes have higher
risks of alcohol/drug abuse and juvenile
delinquency.
 Research results suggest that battering is
the single most common factor among
mothers of abused children.

Men In Transition Policies and Procedures for Client Participation
 Abusers in the Men in Transition class are
usually court ordered, CPS referred or
volunteer to participate in the nonviolence
educational program.
 Requirements for participation in the MIT
program include: participation in class
activities, talking about their use of
violence/abusive behavior, and accepting
responsibility for such behaviors.
 MIT is a program designed for men only and
only men will be allowed to enroll in the
program.
