1. 目標
1.1 Be able to tell time in Japanese.
1.2 Be able to ask a partner what time he/she eats breakfast, lunch and dinner
everyday.
1.3 Be able to invite a friend to various activities.
1.4 Be able to use particle に to give specific time and not general time.
1.5 Be able to answer the question: “Are Japanese always prompt?”
2. ボキャブラリー:
2.1 単語:Review the 7かー2 vocabulary words in your textbook pages 141-143.
2.2 フラッシュカード: Bring up my website www.seifertsensei.com and review the
electronic flashcards for 7課ー2。Play the vocabulary games, too.
2.3 単語の地図:Create a word map for each 7課ー2 vocabulary word.
2.4 漢字シート:Complete the kanji sheet for 7課ー2.
2.5 漢字練習:This sheet contains the new kanji for this section and exercises using
each of the kanji to practice reading and writing the kanji.
2.6 はいく:Write a haiku poem in にほんごusing at least one of the vocabulary
words .
2.7 第1話:This story is the first of two stories in this section.
2.8 小テスト:Prepare for the 7かー2 vocabulary quiz. Sensei will either write the
quiz on the board or hand you a copy. It will include a kanji quiz.
3. 文化ノート
3.1 文化ノート: Be able to answer the following question: “Are Japanese always
prompt?”
3.2 ワークシート:Complete the 7かー2ワークシート from the workbook on pages
57 and 58 on a separate sheet of paper. Write out the questions and answers.
3.3 第2話: This story is the second of two stories in this section. Answers Sensei’s
questions in Japanese and write the story in Japanese with an English translation.

4. アクティビテイーB & C:
4.1 B. Pair Work: Turn to textbook page 144. Ask your partner in Japanese what time
he/she eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday.
A: 何時に朝ごはん食べますか。
B: _時に食べます。
Then write your partner’s responses in the chart you drew in your notes in Japanese.
See textbook page 144 for an example. Ask and answer in Japanese.
4.2 C. Pair Work:
You want to invite your friend to a variety of activities (see textbook page 144). Then
draw a chart like the one on page 144, and write your partner’s responses in it. Speak
in Japanese and write your partner’s responses in Japanese.
A: カフェテリアでいっしょにお昼ご飯を食べませんか。
B: はい、食べましょう。何時に食べましょうか。
A: _曜日の_時に食べましょう。
5. 会話
5. 1 Write out the following English dialogue in Japanese. Use kana and kanji, and no
romaji. Writing neatly, so I can read it. Write both you and your partner’s parts. Then
practice it with a partner. Finally, perform it in front of Sensei for a grade in both
Japanese and English.
A: What time is it now?
B: It’s 10:30pm.
A: It’s late! Well, good-bye.
6. ノートチェック
Prepare for your notebook check by organizing your notebook. Then bring your
notebook to Sensei for a notebook check. I will be looking for the following sections in
your notebook: 1) Syllabus and Grading Policy in the front of your binder 2) Song
Section 3) This handout sheet followed by all the assignments in the above order for
this section.
7. テスト
7.1 You will take the 7かー2テスト。Make sure you have studied all the vocabulary
words, grammar, and culture notes in your textbook and then read through the stories
we did in class prior to taking this test.
