Landscapes across Japan are decorated with koinobori from April to early May, in honor of children and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong. Koinobori meaning "carp banner" in Japanese, are carp-shaped wind socks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Children's Day. These wind socks are made by drawing carp patterns on paper, cloth or other no woven fabric. They are then allowed to flutter in the wind. 2) End of the 4th Quarter Assessment Our last quarter, 4th quarter will end on Tuesday June 10th. That day is the last day of this academic year.
