INTRODUCTION
MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL BIOLOGICAL SYMPOSIUM 2014 (i-SIMBIOMAS 2014) is a biennial
event organised by the Department of Biology,
Faculty of Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
The symposium is held to provide a platform
for an international gathering to discuss, share,
exchange of research, ideas and views on the
new findings, development, innovation and
current issues in biological science studies
among postgraduate students, researchers,
experts, scientists, academicians and others
from various disciplines of Biology, which in
turn leading into producing marketable
intellectual properties, advanced knowledge,
skill, complementary services and bioproducts
which are able to generate income and
contributing to wealth creation.
SCOPE
i-SIMBIOMAS 2014 covers the following

Abstract
1. Title: Bold; Arial font size 11; Sentence case;
Center.
2. Author(s): Full name of authors; underline
the name of presenter; Arial font size 8.
3. Author affiliation(s): Full address of author
(s) in italics; Arial font size 8; center; provide
email address of co-responding author; if
more than one institution; indicate address of
each author numerically in superscripts(s).
4. Text: One paragraph; font size 11; justified;
do not include figure(s)/table(s)/references;
1.5 spacing; no more than 250 words.
5. Keywords: provide maximum five (5)
keywords, Arial font size 11
6. Margin: 1.5 inches left hand border; 1 inchtop; bottom and right borders.
7. Abstract should be saved and submitted in
word file (doc/docx).

The posters will be judged based on content,
layout and presentation for award nomination.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Selected extended abstracts will be called for
full papers. These papers will be refereed and
published in a special issue of the Malayan
Nature Journal (MNJ). The MNJ is a peerreviewed journal and indexed in SCOPUS
(Elsevier).
