Important Information: This rally is open to all pony clubbers. However, DCs must agree that their pony
clubbers have the maturity to compete at this rally. All entrants should be familiar with USEA/USEF rules
and procedures as these will override any contradictory USPC rules. The 2014 USPC Eventing Newsletter
contains helpful information for all rally participants, but also specific rules and requirements for those that
are qualifying for the USPC Championships. The Rally will be held as (2) 0ne-Day rallies, with Beginner
Novice and Novice on Sunday, Training and Preliminary on Saturday.

Please Note: There is no additional fee to rally. All Prelim riders who are not USEF Members must pay
a $30 non-member fee in addition to the above fees. Prelim riders MUST include a copy of both the
rider’s and owner’s USEF cards. The “Trainer” of a Junior Prelim rider must be a USEF member. USEA
Membership and horse registration requirements and fees are waived for rally participants at the
Beginner Novice and Novice levels.
CHIEF HORSE MANAGEMENT JUDGE: Elizabeth Young
HORSE MANAGEMENT: Will consist of formal inspections, required equipment checks, turn backs, and other
HM announced by the HM Chief. The event will be run according to the eventing rules specified by the USEF.
Additionally, of particular importance will be the requirement for 2013 USEA Medical Arm bands to be worn
at all times and during all competition phases for riders. Stable managers may use either the USEA or USPC
version armband. Protective vests must be worn for cross country. We will be using the following rulebooks:

Entry forms MUST be received by the Rally Organizer by May 8, 2014. The opening date for the SVPC HT
is April 39th, 2014. All entries must be checked before sending to HT Secretary. Rally organizer will verify
entries and send all entries in one packet by May 14thth to the HT secretary. Please, please, PLEASE make
sure your entries are complete with all signatures. Use the checklist below!
Each entry must include:
 USEA Horse Trials Entry Form (2014) for each rider. No electronic entries will be accepted for
the rally, but you are encouraged to use http://www.evententries.com or USEA’s Xentry system
to fill out and print your USEA HT entry form. Please note that the “Trainer” identified on this
form is the adult responsible for the care of the horse. Entries will not be accepted without this
information completed front and back
 This Regional Rally entry form including name, rating, division, and horse name
 Coggins test results for your horse. Must be valid for date of the rally and horse name must
match the entry form.
 A Club check made out to SVPC Horse Trials for the total entry fees is preferred, but individual
checks are OK.
 Your preferred volunteer job
 Additional:
 A Chaperone and completed Chaperone form required for each team entry
 If you are bringing a Coach, then you will need to bring a USPC Coaches Guidelines for Eventing,
signed by your coach, or sign up at the rally.
Parents/Guardians must volunteer at this rally:
We will need cross-country judges, formals inspection scribes, vet scribes, and others. You may
volunteer for either day of the rally and horse trial to fulfill your obligation.
FOOD: There will be food available on the grounds.
WATER: There is water on the grounds.
PARKING: The Rally will have a separate team parking area. A Parking Attendant will direct.
