Faculty of Physiotherapy M.P.T. Eligibility: A candidate for admission to the M.P.T. course (Master of Physiotherapy) must possess a degree of B.P.T. (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) or equivalent from a duly recognized University with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate. Course Details: The duration of the course is two academic years. The academic year for M.P.T. commences in the month of August every year. M.P.T. is offered in the following specialties. 01. Orthopaedic Physiotherapy 02. Neurological Physiotherapy 03. Sports and Manual therapy 04. Cardio-Respiratory Physiotherapy 05. Paediatrics Physiotherapy 06. Urological and Obstetrics Physiotherapy 07.Hand Physiotherapy Admission Procedure: The admission for M.P.T. is based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Under Graduate Qualifying Examination and the performance in the Interview. The interview will be held on 07.07.2014 at 10.00 am at the Conference Hall, Saveetha University, 162, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai - 600 077. Issue of Application: The Application and Prospectus for M.P.T. will be issued from the University office from 23.01.2014 onwards. Applications can be obtained on payment of Rs.1,000/- D.D. taken in favour of “Saveetha University”, payable at Chennai in person (or ) D.D. for Rs.1,050/- by Post. Applications can also be downloaded from the website www.saveetha.com, and the completed application form should be accompanied by a D.D. for Rs.1,000/- taken in favour of “Saveetha University”, payable at Chennai. Completed Application form with attested photocopies of the UG degree certificate and mark sheets from first year to final year should reach ‘The Director of Admissions’, Saveetha University, 162, Poonamallee High Road, Chennai - 600 077 on or before 30.06.2014. The students should report for classes at College of Physiotherapy, Saveetha Nagar, Thandalam, Chennai – 602 105 on 04.09.2014 at 09.00 am. 51 Faculty of Physiotherapy Fee Structure: The Candidates once selected for admission should pay the following fees at the time of Admission and thereafter in the month of May every year. The fees once paid will not be refunded. In case the candidate wants to discontinue/ withdraw during the middle of the course, he/she has to pay the entire course fee (for two years) before discontinuing. Course Annual Fee M.P.T.
