The following information is being added as a part of the bid specifications: MOC Structural Foundation Repairs, BD 2014-012 Question: There is no asphalt specification in the documents that I can find. The only thing I see is an Asphalt Paving Section detail and an Asphalt Patch Detail on sheet CD2.0. The asphalt paving detail calls for PG 64-28 (a modified asphalt). Can you change this to our typical everyday mix for this area PG 58-28 or PG 64-22? This will save some money and should work just fine. Answer: The asphalt mix spec can be changed. The City does not have an asphalt mix specification. We usually use what the local supplier has and the CDOT Specification for this region. Question: Well we are trying to find out who will be responsible for relocating/ removing utilities around the building specifically at the South east corner of the building the transformer that sits on a small concrete slab appears to be right in the excavation area. Answer: The transformer is the main power feed to the MOC, RFTA, and the commercial complex on Midland where the Habitat Restore is located. The contractor will be responsible for placing the conduit. The City will relocate the transformer, electrical City of Glenwood Springs, Purchasing Department, 101 W. 8th Street, Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81601 970-384-6445, 970-945-4388 (fax) lines, and fiber optic to the south side of the drive isle. There should be no connections to water or sewer mains, so these utilities will need coordination with City of Glenwood Springs. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with gas, telephone and other utilities. Question: I have just completed my takeoff and I come up with 29,227 square feet in phase 1 for asphalt paving. That equals 730 tons at 4” depth. The bid schedule is calling for 1150 tons. Could you guys double check that quantity and clarify? Answer: Here is the answer on the quantities. The design team accidently included Phase 1 and Phase 2 in the asphalt quantities. Kevin is in agreement with the contractor on his quantity for the asphalt. Question: Dave mentioned that you are only bidding Phase 1 of the documents. Can you please confirm this? Answer: We will only be constructing phase 1. This addendum must be acknowledged. This Addendum may be faxed to 970-945-4388.
