·∙ On 9 AUG 13 MAJ Phil Mann, 4ID Deputy CJ2, in RC-­‐South Afghanistan, stated LTG Legere told the Division CJ2 to kill Palantir in RC(S). He said it was extremely dangerous to even mutter “the P-­‐word” in front of her, that it was the quickest way to end a career as an MI Officer. ·∙ O/A 15 JUL 13 the 4th Infantry Division Deputy CJ2, MAJ Phillip Mann, divulged that Lieutenant General Mary Legere told 4th ID CJ2 leadership to deliberately kill Palantir usage in Regional Command-­‐South. ·∙ O/A early September 2013, COL Brock Harris (G2, 8th Army) openly stated he would do everything he can to block Palantir utilization in Korea. ·∙ 0/A 10 APR 13, LTC Charles T. Lombardo, S2 of 4-­‐2 SBCT stated in a meeting that he was very passionate about introducing new technologies that would allow his soldiers to provide better intel and provide a safer environment for his men outside the wire. He saw a definite need for Palantir, but said that he was hesitant to push back against his leadership who said that Palantir was forbidden. ·∙ O/A the last week of March 2013, 2-­‐10 SBCT S-­‐2 Major Jamie Leonard explained that on a recent conference call DA G2 Mary Legere had yelled at all of her subordinates that using Palantir was unacceptable and that the software needed to go away. Major Leonard was killed in an insider attack on 8 May 2013. (MAJ Leonard was killed by a suicide bomber) ·∙ O/A late November 2012, Vince McCarron reportedly circulated a Powerpoint that showed multiple elements not using Palantir and only using DCGS-­‐A software. A review of user log-­‐in and usage identified this brief as false. ·∙
