Hands-on Application for Teachers
and Therapists
Join us for this innovative training opportunity designed to help you improve
the application of your LSL skills in just one day! This is a great opportunity
to expand on PPCI training or other LSL workshops, available here in central
Indiana. For your convenience, we have scheduled this professional development
opportunity directly following the 2014 Indiana Deaf Educators and Educational
Interpreters Conference. This pilot program includes three components:
• First, a 90 minute webinar completed on your schedule that addresses ways
to approach and expand your application of four essential LSL techniques with
students of various ages and skill levels.
• Second, a full day of hands-on training on the SJI-Indianapolis campus,
including guided observation and application of the techniques in both
classroom and therapy situations, and then applies adult learning theories with
hands-on experience with new technologies, as well as learning and sharing
auditory-based techniques specific to students on your caseload.
• Third, an optional component that offers two hours of personal mentoring/
feedback to be utilized in the coming year
The program offers 8 CEUs, at the bargain registration of $50.
