Introductory note
This introductory note does not form a part of the notice
The following notice gives notice of the surrender in part of an environmental
permit.
The area of land to be surrendered has been used for the storage of meat and
bone meal (MBM) since the permit was issued. This area is located at the eastern
side of the site and is shown on the attached amended plan.
A separate application from Refood UK Limited (EPR/AP3938EJ/A001) for an
anaerobic digestion operation includes this surrendered land within their
installation boundary.
The company name has changed from Granox Limited to SecAnim Limited with
the company number being unchanged.
The opportunity was also taken to make some amendments to the permit.
The status log of a permit sets out the permitting history, including any changes to
the permit reference number.

Schedule 1 – conditions to be deleted
Conditions 2.1.28 and 2.1.29 added by variation EPR/CP3230BE/V004 (PAS
YP3836UK).
2.1.28 Hazardous wastes are not permitted to be processed in the fluidised bed
combustors or boilers. Hazardous wastes of classes H4, H5 and H8
may be mixed to produce a non hazardous waste only for the purposes
of destruction in the fluidised bed combustors subject to condition 2.1.29.
2.1.29 Step 3.4 of the protocol permitted by variation YP3836 shall state that
wastes classed as hazardous, except classes H4, H5 and H8, shall be
rejected. Hazardous waste of classes H4, H5 and H8 may be mixed with
MBM and the normal thick liquids to produce a non hazardous waste.
The mixture shall be analysed to determine that the mixture is non
hazardous. Such mixtures may be considered suitable if the other steps
in the protocol are satisfactory.
Schedule 2 – conditions to be amended
Table 1.1.1 is amended to change the listed activity from a Section 1.1 A(1)(a)
combustion activity to a Section 5.1 Part A(1)(b) incineration activity. The
amended table is as follows:
