* Maximum fence heights are for the first round and fences may be raised
by approximately 5cm between rounds
Please note classes 2 and 3 will be judged separately but will run as one class with Juniors
to jump first followed by the Seniors and then the same in the second round
Top Score Qualifier
 All classes are qualifiers for the BRC Top Score Championships which will be held at Aston
le Walls on 31st May and 1st June. Three competitors will qualify from each class and these
will form an Area 3 Team at the Championships.
 Maximum winnings is £175 for competitors wishing to enter the Top Score qualifier in the
Open and Nil for the Novice classes.
 The Top Score qualifier entry fee is an additional £4 per competitor.
 The entry forms, either British Riding Clubs or NLG, must be annotated with a W against
the Riders Name who wish to enter the qualifier.
 There will be a jump-off for double clears in the Novice and Open classes to determine the
qualifiers.
Area Entry Fees:
£45.00 per team
£12.00 per individual (if not part of a team)
plus £4.00 per competitor wishing to enter the Top Score qualifier
(entry fees include a donation to the First Aid Services)

General Rules
1. Novice classes will be run in accordance with the 2014 British Riding Clubs Rule Book.
2. For eligibility of horses/ponies, riders and specific rules for the competition please see the
2014 British Riding Clubs Rule Book.
3. Horses/ponies must be 4 years and over on 1st January in the current year.
4. Protective headwear, to BRC standards, must be worn at all times with the harness
correctly adjusted and fastened. Protective headwear must show a visible BRC hat tag.
Hat tagging will be available at the qualifier.
5. No horse/pony may compete in both the junior and senior Novice Indoor Show Jumping
competition.
6. The Open classes are run under NLG rules and competitors may ride horses or ponies with
unlimited maximum winnings. Please note to enter Top Score qualifier maximum winnings
is £175.00.
7. Classes will run in the order shown and it is the Team Manager’s responsibility to ensure
that their members are ready when called. Failure to do so could result in disqualification.
8. The order of jumping will be drawn. All first riders from each team compete first then all
second riders and so on. This applies to both rounds.
9. Please notify any changes to original entries prior to the day but substitutes are allowed up
to 30 minutes before the start of the class and Declaration Forms must be handed in before
the class has started.
10. Vaccination Certificates of qualifying horses/ponies will be checked on the day of the
qualifier.
11. Each competing Club is required to provide stewards to enable the competition to take
place. Failure to provide stewards may result in your Club not being allowed to compete.





This competition cannot run without Stewards, therefore, all competing clubs are required
to nominate THREE people who are prepared to help. Failure to provide stewards and if
stewards fail to make themselves available their Club may not be allowed to compete.
Please ensure stewards are not also performing other roles that will take them away from
their allocated task.
Please return the slip below with entries. NLG entries will NOT be accepted without
Stewards details.
Details of stewards’ roles will be advised directly or via the Team Managers.
