The Gary Frontiers Service Club Inc.
The Gary Frontiers Service Club Inc. is a local
chapter of Frontiers International, Inc., a
national, non-profit service organization. Its
members called “Yokefellows”, include men
and women from all segments of our
community: professional, business, religious,
political, educational, craftsmen, labor
leaders, law enforcement and lay leaders.
Each provides volunteer service and
resources for the countless projects in which
we are involved.
Many of our projects provide service to
young students in our community i.e.
mentoring at the Bernard C. Watson Boys
Academy, sponsoring several students on the
HBCU College Tour, Scholarships, National
We the People Competition, Shop with a
Cop, Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving
basket donations, Public Safety Awards,
Pancake Festival, The Dr. Martin Luther King
Awards Breakfast, and numerous other
service oriented activities.
We are acutely aware that the door to our
future is unlocked only by the education of
our future leaders.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants for The Gary Frontiers Service
Scholarship Fund was established by Gary
Club Inc. Scholarship must meet the
Frontiers, in order to assist graduates of the
following criteria:
Gary Schools in meeting the costs of their

college education.
Must be a current-year graduate of a
Gary, Indiana High School
Scholarships are awarded in the amount
of $500 per year depending on the student’s

financial need.
Must have a letter of acceptance for the
next school year from an accredited
college or university
A committee of the Urban League of
Northwest Indiana selects the scholarship
by The Gary Frontiers Service Club Inc.

To apply for consideration for The Gary Frontiers
Service Club Inc. Scholarship, the applicant must
complete
and
submit
the
following
documentation:
1.
The General Scholarship Application .
2. An official transcript of grades from a Gary,
high school.
3. A letter of acceptance from an accredited
college or university.
4. An essay not to exceed 500 words, that

