is looking for a
Flying Field HR Specialist (based on the field)
Mission
Under the supervision of the Field HR Tools & Policies Unit Manager (i.e. HR Specialist Unit) together
with HR specialists, the Flying HR Specialist will mainly contribute to:

train HR teams on the field into the use of HR Policies & Tools on HR Administration,
Remuneration and all labor Legal aspects
Support and empower the field HR Coordinators and teams in the field of HR Administration,
Remuneration and all labour Legal aspects.
help to develop competences of current and future HRCO and all the HR field team.


Scope of responsibilities

The flying HR specialist will provide training and support in the transfer of specifically
identified tasks from the HR specialist unit to the field.

Provides technical Admin & HR support to HRCO through field visits according to the specific
needs of the mission as requested by the HR Specialist and agreed with the Field HR Tools &
Policies Unit Manager.

Ensures all OCG standards are known, used and correctly implemented in the field by the
HRCO and that the HR management in the mission in the field of HR Administration,
Remuneration and legal aspects correspond to OCG HR guidelines.

Provides existing HR & Admin standard tools and policies to HRCO if not known in the
mission, and follows up their implementation.

Contribute to the review of current existing HRM tools (policies, manuals, procedures etc.)As
well as the development of new ones

Ensures the HRCO and HR team understand their role & responsibilities within the mission
coordination team at HR Administration, Remuneration and legal level.

Identify HR stakes & constraints in the mission and suggests improvements to HRCO and to
relevant HR Specialist

Participates in training HR staff on an ongoing basis and develops their competences at field
level.
Profile

Education: HR Management or proven experience in Human Resources and administration
management

MSF experience : demonstrated experience as HR Co with MSF (minimum 12 months)

Knows all OCG HR and Admin standard tools & policies (including Homere)

English and French: fluently written and spoken.

Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Open-mind, service and solution oriented, resistant to stress, willing to travel.
Conditions
• Field based position (various mission) with visits to HQ in Geneva.
• Contract: determined period of 12 months
• Starting date: September 2014
• Practical working conditions while in the field are as per the MSF OCG volunteer hand book
