ADVERTISEMENT FOR ENGAGEMENT OF RETIRED OAS & OFS (FOREST SERVICE)
OFFICERS
The Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd., a Public Sector Undertaking of Govt.
of Odisha, the largest State PSU in the Country in Mining Sector intends to
engage two retired OAS Officers ( up to the rank of Joint Secretary in State Govt.)
& two retired OFS (Forest Service) Officers ( up to the rank of Asst. Conservator
of Forest) on contract basis with monthly consolidated remuneration initially for
a period of one year subject to further extension basing on satisfactory
performance/requirement of OMC to co-ordinate, liaison & fast track various
regulatory clearances from different departments/authorities of Government in
OMC matters.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT OF RETIRED OAS OFFICERS (UPTO THE RANK OF JOINT
SECRETARY IN STATE GOVT.) & RETIRED OFS (FOREST SERVICE) OFFICERS ( UPTO THE RANK
OF ASST. CONSERVATOR OF FOREST) IN OMC LTD
Eligibility Criteria






The Govt. retired OAS Officers (up to the rank of Joint Secretary in State Govt.) &
retired OFS (Forest Service) Officers ( up to the rank of Asst. Conservator of Forest).
They should have professional excellence in Govt. assignments, good service
records, physically & mentally fit for engagement after retirement on
superannuation.
They should have retired from Govt. service on attaining the age of superannuation
& below the age of 63 years.
Officers against whom departmental proceedings or criminal cases contemplated
/pending or who have been penalized for mis-conduct during preceding five years of
service period shall not be considered.
Selection of eligible candidates shall be made through Personal Interview by the
Selection Committee.
During the period of engagement, they will be guided by the Conduct Rules & other
Rules of the Corporation.
Terms of Engagement
 They will be engaged in OMC initially for a period of one year subject to further
extension basing on satisfactory performance/requirement of OMC upto maximum
age of 65 years.
 They shall hold their office in the Corporate Office of Odisha Mining Corporation
Ltd, Bhubaneswar & take-up the assignment as per direction of the management.
 The above engagement is purely temporary & can be terminated by either side by
giving one month’s prior notice.
Scope of work
 To co-ordinate, liaison & fast track various regulatory clearances in OMC matters
from different departments of State Government like Steel & Mines, Directorate of
Mining & Geology, Forest & Environment, Office of PCCF, DFO, Collector, Mining
Offices, Pollution Control Board, PRIs etc. as well as related departments of
Government of India to make the temporarily closed mines into operation, to
enhance the production & sales targets of the running mines as well as approval for
new projects in OMC.
Monthly consolidated remuneration & other benefits
 The monthly consolidated remuneration shall be decided by the Selection
Committee on negotiation.
 During the above engagement, no Corporation accommodation shall be provided to
them.
 They will be provided with Corporation conveyance during tour & TA /DA equivalent
to the officer in the rank of Dy. General Manager of the Corporation.
