Oct. 27th Nov. 7th Fall OGT (Select Students Only) Jan. 12th March 6th OTELA (Select Students Only) Feb. 23rd April 17th Alternate Assessments (Select Students Only) March 16th March 29th Spring OGT (Select Students Only) AimsWeb (Reading and Math) Aimsweb is a universal screening, progress monitoring, and data management system that supports Response to Intervention and tiered instruction. This assessment identifies students at risk for academic failure to allow for early intervention. With progress monitoring, aimsweb determines the effectiveness of interventions and whether students are progressing to meet yearend goals. Alternate Assessments Ohio’s Alternate Assessment for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities is aligned to Ohio’s Academic Content Standards–Extended (OACSE) and designed to allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills appropriately. ACT Aspire The ACT Aspire assessments will provide information on student growth and college and career readiness
skills using multiple question types of constructedresponse, selectedresponse, and technologyenhanced
items. Students will be assessed in five areas: writing, reading, English, math, and science. Diagnostic Decoding Surveys This assessment is used to detect when students are having wordlevel reading difficulties and pinpoint their specific decoding weaknesses. IOWA Form F OAA Reading Alternative Assessment for students who have not met the 392 benchmark for the 3rd grade guarantee for promotion to fourth grade. ITBS Algebra Readiness The Iowa Algebra Aptitude Test, Fifth Edition, provides educators with the most uptodate assessment of algebra readiness available. IAAT Fifth Edition is designed and developed according to NCTM standards published in 2000. Kindergarten Readiness Assessment The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment includes ways for teachers to measure a child’s school readiness. Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards (birth to kindergarten entry) are the basis for the new assessment. It has six components: social skills (including social and emotional development, and approaches toward learning), mathematics, science, social studies, language and literacy, and physical wellbeing and motor development. All kindergarten children will take the assessment. The results of the assessment provide a starting point for each child and do not prohibit any child from entering kindergarten. OAA Ohio Achievement Assessments (OAA) in reading for grade 3 only are aligned to Ohio’s academic content standards for grades 38 and measure students on what they know and are able to do. ODE Diagnostic Assessments The primary purpose of Ohio’s Diagnostic Assessments, which are aligned to Ohio’s New Learning Standards, is to provide a tool to check the progress of students toward meeting the standards. OTELA State and Federal law require an annual assessment of K12 Limited English Proficient (LEP) students to measure their English language proficiency. PARCC PARCC test questions measure deeper learning, criticalthinking and problem solving skills. PSSS (SAT) The PSSS provides practice for the PSAT/ NMSQT and the SAT. Students use the PSSS
to familiarize themselves with the types of questions, instructions, and format they will encounter on the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT. PSAT (SAT) The preliminary SAT is a program that provides firsthand practice for the SAT. It also gives
students a chance to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corp. scholarship program. The
PSAT measures critical read.
