KIRKLEES SUPPLY SERVICE (KSS)
Thank you for your interest in registering as a Supply Teacher. Kirklees Supply Service has the support and backing
of Kirklees schools, Children and Young People Service and the Teacher Associations.
Please find enclosed a pack of information which includes: Information relating to ‘Safeguarding in Education’ e-learning course (This must be completed prior to interview)
 Form relating to the disclosure of criminal background (DBS) and the guidance notes for completion. (please
note we will need to see you in person with your identification to process the form)
 Job Description and personal specification
 Application form - Please complete all sections, including your employment/education history in full (from your
th
18 birthday), on the form – a CV is not an acceptable alternative (you are asked to submit a letter in support of
your application which addresses the supply teacher job description and personal specification. This should be
no more than one side of A4 size 12 font and include relevant CPD/Training).
A minimum of two references will be requested as part of the recruitment process and they will form part of the
decision making. Your Referees must be able to answer questions concerning your employment history and
suitability for the post which includes details of any investigations and/or disciplinary action – this forms part of
the requirements under “Safeguarding & Safer Recruitment in Education”. Please do not give the names of
friends, family or agencies. You should also be aware that any references may be shared with Kirklees Schools.






