See the Sales Bulletin for details of the MCU002 and optimized features on v3.12. 1-2. Highlighted Selection Option on Pop-up Window A selection option on a dialog box is highlighted with a thick, orange frame. This highlight will be especially helpful when selecting the option with the RotoKey ™. v3.12 V3.02 or earlier This example shows a dialog box appearing after activating Selection icons such as [Yes] and [No] appears without a GOTO point. At default, [Yes] is highlighted. highlight in orange. 3 2. Plotter 2-1. Detailed “No Chart Master” Notification With the TZT9/14/BB v3.02 or earlier, when a previously-unlocked chart is shown without a Chart Master unit, there was a notification of “SID N4xxx not found xx runs/30” appearing on the top of the screen for 30 power cycles until the Chart Master is detected. In addition to that, the TZT9/14/BB v3.12 now shows a more detailed notification in a pop-up window on the center of the screen. v3.12 V3.02 or earlier A detailed notification pops up on the center of the screen: Only a simple notification is available on the top of the screen. Select [OK] to close the window. “The NavNet TZtouch display set as Chart Master “SID N4xxx not found (xx runs/30)” (System ID N4xxx) is not detected on the network. The unlocked charts will be available during the next xx launches until the Chart Master is powered on and detected.” Tips – When a Chart Master is replaced… On a network consisting of multiple TZT9/14/BB units, when the Chart Master is replaced, you will need to exchange the previous System ID with the System ID from the new replacement TZT MFD, in order to unlock the existing charts with new unlock codes. The TZT9/14/BB v3.12 software has a difference in chart reading behavior of slave units compared to previous versions of software. Please see the example below. 4 Step 1. There are two (2) TZT9/14/BB units on the network. The slave unit will show charts based on the Chart Master “A”. Step 2. (New with v3.12) When the Chart Master is changed to “B”, the slave will show charts based on the previous Chart Master “A”’s System ID (previous Unlock Code) for 30 power cycles. v3.02 or earlier A notification of “SID xxx not found (xx runs/30)” will appear. v3.12 No alert will appear. Step 3. At the 31st launching and later, the slave unit will show the charts based on the new Chart Master’s System ID (new Unlock Code). 2-2. Track Record “ON” Setting retained after power cycle To record the track of a boat, you need to turn on the track record function. With TZT9/14/BB v3.12 software, the “ON” setting is retained after power is cycled. v3.12 v3.02 or earlier When the track recording is set to [ON], this setting is When the track recording was set to [ON], it was set back to retained even after rebooting the power. If you want to keep [OFF] after rebooting the power. You needed to turn it ON recording the track, you can just leave it [ON]. every time after a power cycle. 5 Note: There is no change in the memory capacity of track points (30,000 points). Upon reaching the memory capacity, the TZT9/14/BB will overwrite the older track points or stop recording, depending on the settings made in [Menu] – [Ship & Track] – [Automatic Track Deleting] – [ON] or [OFF] (Default [OFF]). 3-3. Optimized DSC Indication When a DSC signal with a boat position (L/L) is received via the IF-NMEA2K2, a green, hexagon symbol will be entered on the plotter screen with the target information indicated on the DSC List page ([Home] – [Lists] – [DSC List]). With the TZT9/14/BB v3.02 or earlier, however, the L/L indication had “000” or “0000” after the decimal point. Now, the TZT9/14/BB v3.12, with the optimized process of DSE sentence (PGN 129808: Enhanced Position Resolution), shows a received DSC signal with a correct L/L as described below. v3.12 v3.02 or earlier The position of the received DSC signal is shown properly. The position shows “000” or “0000” after the decimal point. 6 DSC Information on Plotter Screen and List Page Plotter Screen – DSC Received Target Info Page When a DSC signal is received, a green, hexagon symbol By selecting [Info] from the contextual menus or tapping will appear on the plotter screen. Tapping the point shows the pop-up window, the Target Info page will appear and brief information about the DSC target in the pop-up show detailed DSC information such as the boat position. window. Contextual menus will also appear: [Go To] to directly go to the point, where the DSC was transmitted, and [Info] to see detailed target information. List Page – DSC List (1) List Page – DSC List (2) In [Home] – [Lists] – [DSC List], the received DSC Tapping the target, the following pull-down options are information will be listed with a preview window: Tap one of available. the listed targets to show target details, move to the target - [Detail] location on the plotter screen, or edit the nickname as - [Find On Chart] To show the point on the plotter screen shown at right. - [Edit Nickname] To register a dedicated name To access the Target Info page 7 DSC with Nickname – Plotter Screen DSC with Nickname – Target Info Page In this example, a nickname “DSC” is entered. The The entered nickname can also be seen in the pop-up nickname appears with the symbol. window and Target Info page. 2-4. Active Route – Extended Arrival Flag With the TZT9/14/BB v3.02 or earlier, there were some cases reported that the NAVpilot-700 did not properly recognize the arrival at the final waypoint of the route. The TZT9/14/BB v3.12 helps the NAVpilot-700 to fully recognize the end of the route by sending PGN 129283 and 284 for 30 seconds after arrival at the final WPT. 2-5. Optimized Active Route Synchronization – NavNet 3D and MaxSea TimeZero The TZT9/14/BB v3.01 optimized the active route synchronization management especially for networked MaxSea TimeZero software. However, while there were several software updates on NavNet 3D and MaxSea TimeZero after TZT9/14/BB v3.01, the TZT9/14/BB v3.12 has improved active route synchronization management to cope with an integrated network with NavNet 3D and MaxSea TimeZero. 8 3. Others 3-1. “AUTO” Transmission Power Setting for Model DFF1-UHD The User Interface (UI) of the transmission power setting on the Sounder menu is changed to be more user friendly as follows. v3.12 with DFF1-UHD v3.02 or earlier with DFF1-UHD In [Menu] – [Sounder] – [Transmission Power], the options In [Menu] – [Sounder] – [Transmission Power], [1] to [10] of [Off], [Min], and [Auto] are selectable. Note that this was selectable for the DFF1-UHD. setting option is available when the DFF1-UHD is connected. 4. Corrections (1) TZT9/14/BB v3.02 had an issue of sometimes disabling the home or power key functions after importing/exporting data such as points and routes via an SD card. This is fixed with v3.12. (2) TZT9/14/BB v3.02 did not have depth offset values correctly output to the NMEA2000 bus. V3.12 has correct output values. (3) Class-A AIS target lost error is fixed. Class A AIS targets less than 3kt were incorrectly lost in 50 seconds. (4) Heading input issue caused by PGN 12723 (Heading/Track Control) is fixed. 9 5.
