LAKEVILLE SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR POSTER INFORMATION
Senior posters have been a wonderful tradition at Lakeville South High School. Celebrate your graduate’s achievement by making a poster in their honor
to be displayed at the Lakeville South High School Senior Class Party on June 5, 2014 . At the end of the party, your student will bring their poster home.
NOTE: All LSHS posters should be 23" x 29" and must be laminated. Cornerstone will laminate your poster for $8 + tax.

1. Get your Poster Tag Board:
You can purchase your own poster board or pick
up your FREE poster board at Cornerstone Copy

If you purchase your own, choose smooth 23" x 29" poster tag board.
Thick, matte board and foam core boards are too thick and cannot be laminated.
Solid black or textured board may leave bubbles when laminated.
2. Create your Poster: (See important tips below)
Poster design must be done vertically (23" width by 29" height).
Include graduate’s name and high school in your design.
Once your poster is laminated, original items on the poster cannot be removed.
We recommend using copies of your items and memorabilia on your poster rather
than originals.
Use a glue stick. Do NOT use rubber cement, double-sided tape, spray glue or scrapbook tape. These may cause a heat activated reaction that can cause air bubbles and
items to shift in the laminator.
Items should not extend beyond the edge of the poster board.
Limit layering items on your board to 1 to 2 layers. This prevents air bubbles once
the poster is laminated. Three-dimensional (3D) scrapbook items may be too thick
to fit through the laminator.

Cornerstone Copy Center will laminate your poster for $8 + tax.

Focus in Pix is FREE software provided by Cornerstone Copy
Center which you can use to create a poster with a PC or
Mac computer. Select from the many pre-designed templates
specially created for graduation posters, or design your own.
What you will need:
• A PC or Mac with an internet connection
• Photos for poster should be saved on computer as
digital files (.jpg, .tiff, or .png). Obtain digital camera
files or scan hardcopy photos if needed.*

Basic Steps: (Visit www.focusinpix.com/quick-guide for more detailed information.)
1. Go to www.focusinpix.com/download.
2. Download, install and update software with the product titled “Posters: Graduation 23x29 (2014)”
3. Create a new Graduation Poster project. Select a Page Style design for your poster.
4. Import pictures using “+” button in upper left corner of screen, then drag-and-drop them onto page.
5. Double-click on “Name” text box to add student name.
6. To order, click green shopping cart icon to begin checkout and pay for your poster online.
7. During checkout on Order Details page, select: PROTECTIVE LAMINATE for LSHS students.
8. To pickup your poster at the store, or have your poster delivered to the senior party, follow below instructions:
Pick-up: During checkout on the Shipping Details page, specify either Lakeville or Burnsville store location.
Then, on Order Summary page, select “Keep Poster at Store.”
Senior Party Delivery: On Shipping Details page under “Shipping Method,” choose “Free-Walk-in
Lakeville.” Then, on the Order Summary page, select “Send Poster to School Party.” Please enter the high
school name in the Special Instructions box.
Production Time: Focus in Pix posters can take 1 – 2 days to produce (not including delivery).
Z DESIGN YOUR OWN DIGITAL POSTER (using your own software)
If you prefer to use your own software to design your poster, please use the following guidelines:
MIN COST: $38 + tax (includes laminate)
Add $15 if file is not saved as .PDF

Note: For novice users, we recommend using Focus in Pix (see side 1 of this sheet)
•
Document Setup or Page Size: 23" x 29" (23" width by 29" height)
If your file is small enough (less than 5 MB), you may attach it in an email to
Cornerstone Copy Center

Resolution (if applicable): 200 to 300 DPI
EMAIL YOUR FILE TO: [email protected]

Save your file as a .PDF in high quality print or press format
IMPORTANT: In your email message, please specify the following:

NOTE: If your file is not saved as a .PDF, there will be an additional $15 fee added
to your order. Send any special font files along with your poster file.

SPECIFY SCHOOL NAME and that it is for the Senior Party
Transfer your .PDF to CD or portable media and drop off at Cornerstone Copy
Center, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.

FINISHING OPTIONS: Choose between Laminate Only (required for LSHS)
or for a sturdier poster, choose Mount & Laminate (adds $7 + tax.)

IMPORTANT: For Focus in Pix posters, please plan 1-2 days production time when considering the above deadlines. If you requested that your poster be sent to the party, and it is
completed after the above Cornerstone Copy Center deadline, you will be called for pickup. (All attempts will be made to complete posters prior to above deadlines.)
