EXPRESSION OF INTEREST/TENDER
Student accommodation around Waterberg TVET College Campuses
1) Providers are invited to submit their interest to accommodate Waterberg TVET College
students at all Campuses namely: Business Studies Centre (Mahwelereng) - Technical
Street, Mahwelereng, Engineering and Skills Training Centre (Lebowakgomo) - Zone and
Hotel School - C/o Totius and Thabo Mbeki Streets (Mokopane).
2) The following are the specifications:
·
The accommodation must be close (within 10km radius) to the campus, if not (above
10km radius) the interested party must indicate if there will be daily transport from the
residences to the campuses.
·
The accommodation facility should be able to house at a minimum of 14 students.
·
The accommodation must have physical security, including but not limited to security
guards, fence, locks and access control, common study rooms, common ablution and
bathrooms and other amenities for the room should include: a bed, chair and desk, study
lamp and wall cabinet/storage unit. There should be separate rooms for males and
females.
·
All Providers of student housing shall comply with all the legislative requirements
regulating health and safety at all times.
·
All ablution area should be cleaned at least once daily using cleaning industry standards,
chemicals and products.
·
The accommodation should include meals (breakfast and dinner).
3) Students who qualify for bursary will be directed to these residences. This means no
bursary holder will be accommodated in residences that are not approved by the College.
The College will pay the Landlord accommodation fees as per signed service level
agreements.
4) College Management will visit the site from time to time to verify the condition of the
residences.

Providers are herewith invited to provide for the following service:
1) Day student cards
Specifications:
Card Holder with lain yards, PVN card which should display the following: College Name and
Logo, Students full names and surname, Student ID Number and Student Number, Centre
Name and the year of study, Student pass port size photo and Student programme of study
2) Hostel student cards
Specifications:
Card Holder with lain yards, PVN card which should display the following: College Name
and Logo, Students full names and surname, Student ID Number and Student Number,
Centre Name and the year of study, Student pass port size photo, Student programme of
study and Hostel name and room number.

Expression of Interest documents can be purchased at R100 from the Waterberg
TVET College NEW Central Office Building, c/o Totius and Hooge Streets, MOKOPANE
(entrance in Hooge street) from 8-11 December 2014 (between 09:00 - 16:00).
Interested Providers must submit by hand (until 12 December 2014 at 10:00) the
completed Expression of Interest/Tender documents with their company
profile and required documentation: Tax Clearance Certificate, CK, BEE
Certificate and letter of good standing in support of their financial strength
sealed in an envelope and placed in the Bid box located at the Reception
of the NEW Central Office. For Student accommodation, qualified
Landlords will be requested to submit also Public Liability Insurance.
Closing date for submission by post/mail is 19 December 2014.
The College reserves the right not to respond to any queries with
regards to the Tender.
