STEP 1: LAN Configuration:
Put the IP address in Local Area Connection asIP Add: 192.168.1.50 (Say)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

STEP 2: Modem Configuration:
Open Internet Explorer or other browser, and put 192.168.1.1 in address bar of browser and hit enter.
One window of modem configuration will open, put the user name and password asUser Name: admin
Password: admin
Like-
After providing user name and password, you will come to the home page of modem. Just click on
interface setup. like-

1. Then click on internet button, change PVC=1 from 0 then click on PPPoA/PPPoE .
2. Type your username and password then tick default route to yes from no.
3. Then Click save to complete modem configuration.

For Wireless Setup:
1. Click on wireless adjacent to LAN.
2. Click on access point -> Check activate Wireless, Rename SSID as you want or leave it as it
is.

3. Click on network authentication type: Open, WPA-PSK/WPA-PSK Encryption: enable, select
Encryption TKIP then enter 8 alpha-numeric passwords in pre-shared Key. Click on save to
complete the modem configuration. Now use wireless broadband.

Basic settings for all types of modem
• Set your browser or search for 192.168.1.1
THEN
You will be prompted to enter
USER NAME:-admin
PASSWORD:-admin
Log in

FOR CUSTOMERS WITH ZTE MODEM

Go to interface settings.
Select PVC 1 (there are many PVCs from PVC 0)and then go down up to PPPoe with USER
NAME and PASSWORD
THEN changes to NEW one.
CLICK SAVE/SUBMMIT
FOR CUSTOMERS WITH MODEM TYPE Huawei MT 880/800
• Go to basic settings
• Select WAN settings, you will see PPPoe settings with username and Password.
• THEN change your USERNAME and PASSWORD to NEW one.
• Go to save and reboot and SAVE.
• CLICK SAVE/SUBMMIT.
