PRESENTATION
STRUCTURE
The University Master’s Degree in Development Cooperation
(MCAD) meets the need for high-level training in Development
Cooperation by the five Valencian public universities.
The complexity and growing concern about development
and poverty issues have led international organizations,
States and social entities to increase the resources devoted
to a sector that demands qualified professionals with a
specific and interdisciplinary education background. In this
area, the MCAD provides common training in development
cooperation and seven specialties covering the broad
professional spectrum in the field.
It is a two-year Master: the first one is classroom-based
teaching and the latter, online.
The Master also gives access to Inter-University PhD
Programme in Local Development and International
Cooperation
OBJECTIVES
 Taking in-depth look at the operational strategies on the
quality and effectiveness of the concept of development
cooperation from a critical perspective.

Providing analysis criteria of political, social, economic
and cultural reality in which the new culture of
cooperation’s approaches and issues promoted by
international organizations and conventions are
contextualized.
 Developing skills in designing, planning, management
and evaluation of development interventions at the
policy, plan, programme and project level.
