Hospital Bed Handover Ceremony at Vichienburi Hospital in
Petchabun Province
President Suraphon and VP Charles attended the Hospital Beds Handover Ceremony at
Vichienburi Hospital on August 15, 2014 (Friday). This is a Global Grant Project hosted by
RC Charoen Nakorn and RC Bangkok is one of the project partners. (GG 1413808: Life
Style Modification Program in High Risk Group of Diabetics & Hypertension). The project
also involves a health training camp and diseases prevention programs. During the
handover ceremony, 79 hospital beds were given. The Hospital presented their research
findings of problem and need assessments. The participants also observed the “Health
Training Camp”. VP Charles took the opportunity to do a blood pressure check up. The
result is an “excellent” condition.

Hospital Bed Handover Ceremony at Vichienburi Hospital in
Petchabun Province
Another Hospital Bed Handover Ceremony was held on August 16, 2014 (Saturday).
President Suraphon and VP Charles joined together with approximately 70 other Rotarians
from many Clubs in District 3350 in participating the event. Attendants include DG Surachat,
IPDG Prawit, DGE Chaivai and other PDG. 121 hospital beds were presented. The Hospital
also gave an overview of their operation and services. When a Doctor explained the
problems and needs of adding some educational tools for the Childcare Department,
Rotarians on the spot raised over baht 60,000.00 instantly for the purchasing cost.
President said, “We need a picture to evidence our present”.

Rotary Club of Lomsak Installation
President Suraphon and VP Charles joined the Rotary Club of Lomsak Installation on
August 17, 2014. This year marks the 20 Years Anniversary of the Club. Approximately
200 visiting Rotarians from many Clubs in 3350 joined the event. The highlight of the event
came when a group of primary school students performed a local hilltribe dance. President
Suraphon joined other Presidents in the 3350 for a “thumb up” picture. When he was
asked, “What does the thumb up mean?” He said, “I am not sure, .... I guess it may mean
success of everything”.
Witness the formal transfer of responsibility. Thanks the New President for his devotion to Rotary for a year.
