Sales Manager, Argentina
Are you ready to enhance your solid commercial
experience as Sales Manager in Buenos Aires,
Argentina? This is a unique opportunity to be overall
responsible for Arla Foods Ingredients’ markets and
products in South America. AFISA is a joint venture
owned by Arla Foods Ingredients and SanCor – one of
the leading dairy producers in Argentina. Our vision is

Sales of Arla Foods Ingredients’
products in South America
As Sales Manager you will have a comprehensive
responsibility for maintaining and anchoring our sales
set-up and agents in various South American countries.
This implies that you are in charge of developing the
account strategy, including negotiation parameters,
with the purpose of fulfilling our ambitious sales
targets. You actively co-operate with the whey protein
factory in Porteña, 600 km north of Buenos Aires, as
well as you are a part of the sales and production
planning of AFI.
You make sure that our products are registered
correctly and that they live up to the local requirements and legislation. Besides, you make current
updates of market knowledge and data as to market
size, price levels, new customer opportunities and
competitor information. Further, you investigate and
share knowledge on the specific restrictions in the
proper country, rate of duty, import restrictions etc.
At the same time, you have an important task developing
the sales team to be able to perform day-to-day activities
to satisfaction. The aim is to obtain the very best results
through high performance and thereby get ready to
meet future business targets. You report to the Managing
Director of AFISA and become a member of the AFISA
Management group. As such, you play an active role in
the general management of the entire operation.
Substantial international B-to-B experience
Above all, you – and your family – must be willing to
live in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the next three to
four years. Here you will bring in your experience and
skills within business-to-business sales from a similar
position in an international industry – maybe even
from the food industry. Your theoretical expertise and
knowledge could derive from a degree within Business
Administration, Food Science or similar backed by at
least five years’ commercial experience and maybe also
a few years of management experience. You are a fast
learner and pick up new abilities easily.
You have a flair for numbers and work in a structured
and logical way with your assignments. As you will be
operating in a truly international environment, you
will need extraordinarily good communication skills
to appreciate different cultures, as well as the ability
to cooperate with people at all levels. You must be
proficient in written and spoken English, and good
knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is also required.
The job requires frequent travel in Argentina, to Brazil
and other South American countries.
