A Joy Wallace Catering, Design and Special Events is a firm specializing in event catering and design for corporate,
social and wedding functions. Your event is their passion, bringing a new level of client-focused service to the industry.
They strive to exceed the expectations of hospitality and events to create unforgettable guest experiences. Their
food and event style is client driven, and with a diverse team of experienced professionals, each event is molded
specifically to your style needs. Modern to classic, vintage to futuristic, A Joy Wallace speaks the event language of YOU.
After leaving Miami’s prestigious Miami Club, Joy Wallace started a small catering company to treat South Florida to
the kind of inviting hospitality she is loved for. The launch of the company began with a 1,000 guest seated dinner
for Exxon mobile in 1988 and with its success, Joy was on her way. As the company continued to grow, A Joy Wallace
opened three additional divisions. A Joy Wallace Design was added in 2000, adding a second layer of services to their offpremise business and opening a relationship with South Florida’s premium hotels. In 2003, the company secured contract
catering services with the famed Vizcaya Museum and Gardens to operate their Cafe and Shop. In 2004, Joy formed their
Disaster Relief Services division, landing several catering contracts in Florida and the Gulf Coast. A Joy Wallace is one of
very few Florida based catering businesses with full turnkey site capability, helping those in need when disaster strikes.
Today, the company is comprised of over 50 full time employees and over 160 part time employees. A Joy Wallace averages
over 500 events annually between off premise catering/design, on premise design and events at the Vizcaya Cafe & Shop.

AND GARDENS
CAFE & SHOP
AJW has been the in-house
operator of Vizcaya Museum
and Gardens Cafe and Shop for
over 7 years. Located just south
of Miami’s financial district, the
Cafe and Shop is perfect for small
group meetings and daytime
events.
A Joy Wallace manages the
creation of the Cafe’s menu as
well as product development in
the shop. Additionally, they are
the leading preferred partner for
evening events at the historic
venue, with the capacity of several
hundred guests.
COMBER HALL
SOHO STUDIOS MIAMI
Located in Coral Gables, AJW is
the exclusive operator of Comber
Hall. Built in 1925, this historic
venue is located at the beautiful
Church of the Little Flower.
A flexible event venue, Soho
Studios boasts 70,000 square feet
of usable event space. The venue
is located in the Wynwood area,
Miami’s arts district, and is easily
prepared for large scale events.
This private venue features
two
beautifully
renovated
event spaces, including a Grand
Ballroom, second floor terrace
and dual dedicated foyers for
pre-event use. The venue is

Respected by peers, cherished by clients, adored by her team and inspiring to those who meet
her, Joy Wallace has become an international catering industry icon. A southern gal at heart,
Joy waited for her two daughters to enter high school before enrolling at Florida International
University School of Hospitality for a second degree. Joy took the plunge on 12/01/1988 and A
Joy Wallace Catering Production, Inc. was born.
ELGIN WOODMAN
Years of industry experience make Joy an invaluable resource, as she is well attuned to
client needs and treasures their trust in the company. A well traveled foodie, she speaks the
international language of the guests they serve. Joy has a keen understanding of luxury service
and expectations, and instills this into each member of her company. She considers the services
AJW provides to be a responsibility – her team is entrusted with the most important day of
their clients’ lives and it is the team’s responsibility to make the client shine.
Corporate Executive Chef
Her proud Peruvian heritage speaks loudly through her food, with bold, daring and expressive
flavors. It is her ability to culturally fuse and infuse diverse cuisines which offers AJW
guests a true taste of the kaleidoscope that is her palette. Her talent is not only in her food
knowledge, but in the ability to make the last plate on the table as great as the first.
Elgin is a national speaker and her culinary artistry has been featured in a variety of
publications and magazines. She was also honored as Chef of the Year by the International
Caterers Association.

The Rules Of Form, Flowers & Function: Re-Written.
From Miami to Palm Beach and around the United States, executing the script that is your
event vision is their specialty, and they work closely with their clients to incorporate the use
