Welcome to…
SEATA 2014
and
Get Ready to Experience Alabama!
Dear Valued Friends and Colleagues:
Welcome to the 64th Annual Conference of the Southeastern Association of Tax
Administrators. On behalf of the Alabama Department of Revenue and the great
state of Alabama, I am honored to welcome you to the 2014 conference and to
beautiful Point Clear, Alabama!
Our Alabama SEATA committee and program organizers have worked very hard
to offer an informative, eclectic and thought-provoking slate of session topics that
are sure to appeal to delegates from all tax and administrative areas. Complementing the conference sessions will be an entertaining delegates’ luncheon, featuring one of Alabama’s very own award-winning and best-selling national authors,
Winston Groom.
Not to be outdone, organizers for the spouse/guest and youth programs have
worked equally hard to provide entertaining outings and beautiful venues sure to
leave participants of all ages with fun-filled memories and experiences, showcasing
some of the very best of Alabama’s attractions.
SEATA 2014 will provide valuable opportunities to network with representatives
from departments of revenue from all across the Southeast, as well as with our industry partners, to exchange ideas, to share proven and effective practices, and
best of all, to learn something new. I look forward to the discussions that will continue long after the conference has concluded – discussions that I am confident
will spark new taxpayer service initiatives and opportunities. Thank you all for your
participation in SEATA 2014.
Enjoy your visit and experience Alabama to the fullest!
