The Admission HIS form, and Discharge HIS form, both will load automatically for access only through the HIS Transmission Browser. These forms will not be available in the Client Chart. Important Note: Agencies must not make any changes to the HIS Data Elements on the new forms. This functionality is necessary because HIS must report all Hospice admissions for all pay sources. • Point of Origin o PoO elements on the FaceSheet have additional options in the pick list to accommodate HIS codes that must be reported. For example, the PoO selection “SNF/ICF/ALF” will be inactivated to accommodate separate choices for HIS codes: SNF, ALF, and Nursing Home. • Forms Logic o When the value for a pre-defined field is changed, a message will alert the user at save. • Client Data Correction o Visit Correction: The “Delete Visit” feature will validate that there are no e-signed forms or an e-signed POC, associated with the selected visit to be deleted. If e-signed records are attached, the visit cannot be deleted. Note: Agencies must contact the Solutions Consulting department to sign up for HIS Training. Training documentation includes the complete details of HIS functionality. Medicare Part D Medicare Part D requires the Hospice provider to submit an explanation of why a drug (s) is unrelated to the terminal illness or related conditions to the patient's Medicare Part D Insurance provider. Suncoast Solutions now provides a way to identify any patient that has Medicare Part D and assists with processing a Plan D sponsor communication form. Solutions has created an “identifier” in the Pay Source Maintenance that will allow agencies to “identify” if the pay source is Medicare Part D. This identifier will create an attribute that will allow agencies to run a report inclusive of this attribute, so that agencies can identify any patient with Medicare Part D. Agencies can see the identifier highlighted in the screenshot below: ©Suncoast Solutions 1997-2013. All Rights Reserved. Call 800-334-0505 or 727-599-2500. These forms include: Admission ICA, Pain Assessment, Edmonton Symptom Assessment System (ESAS-r), and PAINAD. SUNCOAST SOLUTIONS Release Notes SP70-002.004 CU1 [Page 3 of 4] Second, Suncoast Solutions recognizes that adding Medicare Part D as a pay source is for tracking purposes only. Solutions has created an identifier that will allow agencies to mark ANY pay source as non billable. This is an enhancement to the current pay source setup. It can be used for pay source tracking other than Medicare Part D, such as Medicaid Pending. The non-billable feature means that normal billing processes will not attach to this pay source. There will not be any charges, errors, or retroactive changes associated with a pay source that is marked as non-billable. However, you will be able to run reports and have this pay source included. ©Suncoast Solutions 1997-2013. All Rights Reserved. Call 800-334-0505 or 727-599-2500.
