SHA, SJHL AND SMAAAHL TEAM UP FOR FIRST EVER SASK MIDGET PLAYER SHOWCASE
Warman, SK – The Saskatchewan Hockey Association (SHA) is proud to announce the first-ever
Midget/Junior Showcase, to take place on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Legends Centre Arena in
Warman.
The day will feature games between the top 40 16-year-olds and top 40 17-year-olds from the
Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL).
1:30pm – Game 1 – 1998 born players
4:00pm – Game 2 – 1997 born players
Full rosters for all four teams are included below.
This event is one aspect of an important partnership between the SHA, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey
League (SJHL), and the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL).
“One of the objectives of the Saskatchewan Development Model is to structure a system that ensures the
top players in Saskatchewan remain in our province,” says Kelly McClintock, General Manager at SHA. “In
order to keep more players in our system through their junior careers, we feel the optimal time to
highlight them is during their 16 and 17 year-old years.”
The inaugural Midget Player Showcase is taking place one day before the annual SJHL Showcase, which
will also happen in Warman on September 29 and 30. The SMAAAHL regular season kicks off on Thursday,
September 25.
