About the Workshop
Maintaining its reputation for first-class technical
content and delegate participation, the Workshop
continues to alternate between Norway and
Scotland. The 32nd Workshop will continue its
excellent tradition by offering a mix of:
• Technical presentations incorporating real field
experience
• Poster presentations
• Manufacturers from around the world
showcasing the latest technology within the
industry
• Networking opportunities
The future of the oil and gas industry is increasingly
coming under the microscope from both economic
and environmental impacts. It is important now
more than ever to stay ahead of developments in
technology, regulation and practice. The Workshop
continues to meet these issues head on.
Call for Papers
Technical papers for the 2014 Workshop are now
invited from operators, regulators, engineering
contractors, service companies and research
organisations.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Committee
with priority given to papers which are based on
case studies and/or include operator input. Other
relevant industry related topics not listed above may
also be considered.

Practical content and field experience is particularly
important. The Committee have highlighted the

• Environmental Issues
• Field Experience – Problems and Solutions
• Future Issues within North Sea Industry
• Heavy Oil
• Metering Management
• Operation Optimisation
• Sampling and Verification
• Subsea Measurement Challenges
• Virtual Metering
• Wet Gas Measurement Challenges
Format of Delivery
Two options, both of which will require an
accompanying written technical paper which will be
published within the electronic proceedings:
Full written technical paper which consists of a
20-minute presentation slot with 5-10 minute chaired
question and answer session
Poster presentation which is discussed by the
principle author during the Workshop Poster Session
Due to the high number of submissions expected,
some contributors may be invited to present
their work in a different format from that initially
submitted.

Submission of Abstract
Workshop Committee
To submit a paper or poster for the Workshop, an
abstract should be submitted for review by the
Workshop Committee by 31 March 2014 at the
latest.
The Committee of industry experts will review the
content and direction of the Workshop:
