Qualitative Methods of Studying Children & Contexts Beth Graue Spring 2015 C&I 726 Tuesdays 12:00-2:30 Qualitative methods have been used to study human experience for years but only recently have they been used to explore the lives of children. In this course we will look at the theoretical assumptions that have limited our knowledge of children & how a childhood studies perspectives provides new space for understanding. Students will work in small research groups to conduct a study of a child or teen, working from design to write up. For more information: [email protected]
