Service to others in my program
Dear addicts
My name is anonymous, I am writing this because at some point
in my life I realized my life was unmanageable and I had to do
something about it. I am very fortunate that I sat and listened to
other addicts share their livelihood of how they stayed clean no
matter what on a daily basis. But that is not enough, I had to do
more. So since I listened, I learned more and more and asked a
lot of questions on a daily basis too. My learning curve is moving forward and I can not stop, not now. It is my daily routine that
keeps me clean.
Back in 2012 I was in a 90 day program and my favorite part
was when other addicts came to us on Sunday and sat on a panel
format and shared their experience, strength and hope with us at
the recovery program. So from that point, I knew this will be the
most important part of my recovery and got very serious about
it. I became part of south coast area Narcotics Anonymous H & I
(Hospitals & Institutions). I am an addict and service to theirs is
and will have a positive effect on my path and yours if you get involved and stay serious about it. Currently I am hosting a panel in
the south coast area, my next step is to deliver the message to jail,
institutions, hospitals and anywhere that an addict needs to hear
the message of recovery.
H&I carries a clear NA message of recovery to jails, institutions, recovery homes and other facilities when addicts cannot
get to regular meetings. If you are interested in a service commitment, we invite you to come to our next meeting on Sunday, DECEMBER 28th at 4:30 p.m. at The Effect Church, 27122A Paseo Espada, Suite 904, SJC and check us out.
