Birth & Beyond Los Angeles Program Description This intensive two-day workshop provides the evidence, knowledge, and skills participants need to confidently support, establish, and protect both early motherinfant attachment and breastfeeding in the hospital setting. The Birth & Beyond curriculum highlights tools necessary to enhance early parent-infant attachment, and help families to listen to and understand the language of the newborn. Emphasis will be on honoring the mother’s beliefs and choices surrounding infant feeding. Birth & Beyond is designed as a Staff Training Curriculum to meet the BabyFriendly USA 4-D Pathway Guidelines, 2010 Edition. This workshop is lively, participatory, and includes practical and fun activities to enhance learning.
