STIPULATIONS: With registration for these events, the
participant accepts the guidelines of the AVA and agrees to
observe the principles of good sportsmanship and safety.
Every participant must adhere to all directions of the control
personnel. Littering is not permitted. All events will take place
regardless of weather conditions. Awards will not be sold
outright.

PROCEDURES: This event is open to everyone. Volkssports,
including volkswalks, are noncompetitive events. Walk, jog, or
run at your own pace. Each participant, whether free or paid,
must register and sign an Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release
of Liability (Parent or Guardian must sign for minor) at the start
point. A start card may be issued upon registration. It must be
carried during the walk, validated at control points along the
route and turned in at the finish upon completion of the walk.
AWARD / PRE-REGISTRATION / FEES: You may walk free if
no credit or award is desired, but you must register. Preregistration is not required. No refunds will be given. Walking
for credit costs $3.14.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Take I-80 BusE. Take exit 98 for Greenback Ln toward Elkhorn
Blvd. Turn right at Greenback Ln. Turn right at Sunrise Blvd.
Take US-50E toward South Lake Tahoe. Take the Sunrise Blvd
exit toward Fair Oaks. Turn left onto Sunrise Blvd. Make a Uturn at Kingswood Dr.
DESCRIPTION:
Two 5K (3.14 miles each) loops will combine to make the 10K
(6.28 miles) walk and both are rated a 1A. The routes are west
and south of the start location and are primarily on slightly hilly
and winding residential streets. You’ll pass through the lovely
San Juan Park and upscale neighborhoods. Come celebrate the
ratio between the circumference of a circle to its diameter
approximately 3.14 – on Pi Day!

• Dogs: OK with cleanup, but not in restaurant

DONATIONS:
Donations will be accepted for a local food closet in the form of
canned or other non-perishable food or money. Money
