• Leverette poured in a career-high 21
points on 7-of-14 from the floor, while
Gaines notched a double-double with 11
points to go along with 15 rebounds.
• Three Lancers scored in double figures
led by Raven Williams with 17 points. Kyndal Skersick added 15 points, while Deborah Headen scored 11 points in 30 minutes.
• Gaines was stellar on both ends of the
floor for Campbell, as she filled the stat
sheet to the tune of 11 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and
one steal.

BY THE NUMBERS
• Longwood has been successful shooting the three this season, as the Lancers
have made at least four three-point field
goals in each game they’ve played. Longwood hit a season-high 11 three-point
field goals at Presbyterian
• The Lancers have played a total of five
schools from a power five conference
this season — Wake Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. The five
games against the power five is the most
of any team in the Big South this season.
• Raven Williams has been Longwood’s
top threat from beyond the arc this season, as she is ranked fourth in the conference with 1.74 treys per contest.
• Williams is the only player to rank among
the top five in the Big South in scoring
(15.4 PPG) and assists (3.75) during conference play.
• Emily Nylen has climbed into the top
10 in blocked shots in the Big South this
season. Nylen is sixth in the league averaging 1.50 blocks per game and is fourth
in conference play with 2.00 blocks per
game.
• Brenna Robbins notched three straight
games in double figures for the first time
in her career prior to Longwood’s loss at
Campbell on Saturday. The sophomore
scored 12 points at Presbyterian and
topped the effort with a 14-point outing

SCOUTING HIGH POINT
• High Point travels to Farmville with an
overall record of 13-8, including a 9-3
mark in conference play. The Panthers sit
in second place in the Big South standings this season. Last time out, High
Point suffered its only home loss of the
season against Liberty, 58-41.
• On the road, High Point is 3-7 on the
season, recording road victories against
Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern
and UNC Asheville.
• Two of the top five leading scorers in the
Big South this season play for High Point.
Stacia Robertson is fourth in the conference averaging 14.8 points per contest,
while Kaylah Keys is fifth with 14.4 points
per game.
• In the first meeting on Dec. 2, the Panthers outscored the Lancers 27-14 over
the final 11 minutes of the first half to
cruise to an 81-60 home victory.
SUCCESS FROM 3-POINT RANGE
• The Lancers rank first among teams

• The squad has hit double digit
three-pointers on three occasions this

TOUGH STRETCH TO OPEN 2014-15
SEASON
• The Lancers played eight of their first
10 games of the season away from the
friendly confines of Willett Hall. Longwood played its first game in Willett Hall
on Nov. 24 against UNC Greensboro and
faced Big South foe UNC Asheville on
Dec. 14. The Lancers played consecutive
games inside Willett Hall for the first time
this season when they hosted George
Mason (Dec. 22) and Gardner-Webb
(Dec. 28).
• The Lancers played a total of five power
five teams this season, including Wake
Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and
Clemson.
• The five power conference teams that
Longwood faced this season is the most
of any team in the Big South, as Liberty
is second and faced four schools from either the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 or the

WILLIAMS STEPPING UP ON THE COURT
• Longwood’s leading scorer since Daeisha Brown’s injury, junior Raven WIlliams has scored 16 or more points in 10
of her past 12 games. Williams is averaging 15.0 points per contest in 10 conference games and is the fourth leading
scorer in the Big South in conference
play.
• The junior co-captain leads the Lancers
and ranks among the top 15 in the Big
South this season in points (13.2), assists (3.24), steals (1.57), three-point
field goals per game (1.67) and threepoint shooting percentage (.302).
• Williams recorded the first double-double of her collegiate career with 16 points
and 10 rebounds at Clemson. With Coach
Reinson and his staff emphasizing rebounding and defense, the co-captain
answered with 10 defensive boards. Williams also recorded a double-double in
Longwood’s 79-71 win over Charleston
Southern with 19 points and 10 assists.

top five in points (15.3; 4th) and assists
(3.75; 3rd). WIlliams also ranks second in
the Big South in free-throw percentage in
conference play, as the junior is 36-of-45
(.800) from the charity stripe.
• Williams has seen an increase in her minutes played in her breakout season for the

2014-15 campaign on Jan. 26 following
her second double-double of the season
in Longwood’s 79-71 win over Charleston

HEADEN IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
• Junior Deborah Headen posted a career-high in points and field-goals made
in Longwood’s contest at William & Mary.
The Herndon, Va., native posted 19 points
in the game on seven made field-goals.
• Headen has scored in double figures in
eight of her past 11 games, as she is Longwood’s third leading scorer since Daeisha
Brown’s injury.
• The Herndon, Va., helped seal each of the
Lancers wins this season from the charity
stripe. She native made two free throws
with 11 seconds on the clock to help seal
Longwood’s first victory of the season,
63-59, over Gardner-Webb and made
3-of-4 free throws in the team’s victory
over Coastal Carolina.
SKERSICK KEYS LONGWOOD OFFENSE
• Junior Kyndal Skersick is averaging 10.9
points per contest this season, which
ranks second on the squad since Daeisha
Brown was sidelined for the season with a
knee injury. She ranks among the top 20 in
the Big South in scoring.
• Skersick matched her career-high with
five three-point field goals at Presbyterian
and finished the contest with a game-high
15 points
• Skersick also leads the Lancers with an
.836 (46-of-55) average from the charity
stripe this season and ranks among the
leaders in Longwood women’s basketball
history.
INJURED LANCERS
• Longwood lost its top scorer from a season ago, as Daeisha Brown will be out
for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.
Brown suffered the injury in the first half
at Richmond on Nov. 20.
• At the time of the injury, Daeisha Brown
was second among players in the Big
South, averaging 23.0 points per game.
• Brown was named to the second team
All-Big South team at the Big South media
day. Brown comes into this season averaging 13.5 points per game and 2.07 assists, while grabbing 4.4 boards per contest.

• Bill Reinson and his staff signed a strong recruiting
class to begin competing for the Lancers in the 201516 season. The class features junior college transfer
and Virginia native Eboni Gilliam, as well as the versatile Kemari Jones.
FIFTH SEASON UNDER REINSON
• Longwood is in its fifth season under the guidance
of head coach Bill Reinson. In 2013, Reinson led the
Lancers to the Big South Championship game, before falling to Liberty.
