Jazz Vespers Service Verses, Vibes and Vittles to Benefit Family Promise of Monmouth County Lincroft, NJ – Due to popular demand, Lincroft Presbyterian Church will host its’ Second Annual Jazz Vespers, a service with Verses, Vibes and Vittles on February 19, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken to support Family Promise of Monmouth County, which assists homeless families in Monmouth County. Light refreshments and nursery care will be provided. Musicians slated to accompany Lincroft Presbyterian Church Music Director and professional trumpeter John Morrison include:  Pianist Timothy Broege, a nationally renowned composer and music director at Belmar Presbyterian Church;  Guitarist Doug Clarke, an in-demand jazz sideman, and a prodigy of Tal Farlow;  Drummer John Gronert who has performed with The Drifters and Darius Brubeck, and was a student of Joe Morello and Sonny Igoe;  String Bass and Guitarist Robert Marriner who has played with the Platters, Little Anthony, the Duprees and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. The church is thrilled to have their musical director John Morrison and renowned jazz musicians share their music. Although the church community already supports Family Promise by hosting families and by volunteering, they wanted to do even more. Proceeds from the evening’s free will offering will be donated to Family Promise, and bring a message of hope to the community. Family Promise of Monmouth County (http://www.familypromisemc.org), an affiliate of national Family Promise, works with community agencies, faith-based services, churches and synagogues to provide shelter, food, transportation and supportive services including case management for homeless families. They are committed to advocating for innovative solutions to ending family homelessness and have an 80% success rate in helping families find housing.
