Condolence cables sent to Sisi
HIS Majesty King Hamad yesterday sent a cable of
condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al
Sisi following a terror attack that targeted North
Sinai governorate, leaving many dead or wounded.
He extended condolences to Sisi, the victims’
families and the Egyptian people.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince
Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal
Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa,
Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander
and First Deputy Premier, sent similar cables of
condolences.
n Prime Minister thanked
THE Premier yesterday received a cable of
thanks and appreciation from MP Jalal Kadhim
Al Mahfoudh. He paid tribute to the Premier for
his directives to ministers to fulfil the demands
of Northern Governorate citizens following a
meeting with him.
n Bahrain to host global forum
BAHRAIN is set to host the third edition of the
International Self Development Conference from
February 10 to 12. Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh
Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa will patronise the
three-day event, to be held at Bahrain Chamber
of Commerce and Industry under the theme “The
Road to Peace”.

CENTRAL Informatics Organisation will hold a
seminar on open data today in co-operation with
e-Government Authority. Richard Kirby from the

will deliver the lecture. Government officials

n Training for orphans
CHILDREN from an orphanage affiliated to
the Royal Charity Organisation took part in a
training camp on emergency evacuation and
first aid. RCO’s health and safety committee
organised the camp, which was patronised by
secretary general Dr Mustafa Al Sayed.
n Crash victims recovering
TWO Bahrainis, who were injured in a fatal
accident last week, are still at Al Jahra Hospital
in Kuwait being treated for fractures. Assistant
under-secretary for hospital affairs Dr Waleed
Al Manea last night said they are likely to be
discharged in the next four days and arrangements
will be made for their return.
