Welcome and Introductions
 The Goal for the first year of the Framework is to move all Residential
and Nursing Providers to be Good/Excellent.
 The next ADASS meeting is in December where the possibility of
regional training will be discussed.
 As we approach winter planning is ongoing to ensure are people leaving
hospital as soon as they are able to. Looking at what package is
required i.e. ASC or CHC. To look at the possibility of having 2/3
‘assessment’ (not long term) across Central Beds to free up hospital
beds as well as allowing adequate time for a full assessment needs
before discharge into the community.

Introduction to MANOP – Meeting the Needs of Older People
 The aim of the project is to develop capacity and new build for extra care
housing.
 Currently 6 Support living schemes providing 500 housing units are
planned; there is still a need for residential care in the system.
Engagement with providers is key to ascertain what is required and TH
provider’s capacity/plans to expand.
 The current plans will show a deficit of capacity by 2020, the government
work on the ratio of 25 units per 1000 of the population over 75 years
old.

The following issues/concerns raised:
 Pressure relieving equipment arriving late at night when the order was
placed the previous day, although this is better than having to wait
another day for delivery
 Community nurses not always available

Contract Team Update:

6 montly data returns now due, will collate information and feedback at
the next provider meeting

Contract Review meetings will be scheduled for January 2015 which will
include a finanicial viability check

DQM was relaunched at the last meeting but we have not received any
new applications, when making placements in the future clients who
have a formal diagnosis of dementia will not be placed in homes that do
not hold the Dementia Accreditation.

Service User Feedback has been piloted and this will be fedback once
we have completed a full year of surveys.

Provider Portal:

The portal enables providers to send queries regarding errors in
payments directly on line

If the monthly payment made Providers must complete a NIL return via
the portal – this is a tick box

We will be monitoring the use of the Portal and contacting Providers who
are not using it

