Greetings Prophets,
Happy February! I hope you are all
keeping warm. We had a nice installation of officers in January on the night
of the stated meeting. Thank you to all
that attended this event. We also had a
fellowship night with pizza and drinks
the Friday after the meeting. I would
really like to get more Prophets and
Ladies at the next event.
The stated meeting is on February
11th, with dinner at 6:30pm and meeting at 7:30pm. This will be a move up
night because I will be out of town.
We will have a Chili Cookoff/Daytona Party on February 22nd at
noon. Judging will be at 1pm. Come
out to the club and socialize with your
friends.
Have a great month, Happy
Valentine’s Day, don’t forget the special
someone in your life!
Don’t forget to tell your friend at
Blue Lodge that Mohassan is having fun
and we would love to share it with
them. Have a great rest of the month; I
hope to see you soon.

Greetings Prophets,
Installation is now over with all
elected Officers installed with the
exception of Master of Ceremonies.
At meeting was elected to move
into the Master of Ceremonies position.
So if you know anyone interested in the
Venerable Prophet position, which is
now available, contact Monarch Todd
or myself.
Had a small turnout on the 16th
for Fellowship Night, missed some
good pizza. Reminder, February 11th is
Trustees meeting and Grotto meeting,
stag night and move up night. February
22nd is Grotto Chili Cook-off and
Daytona Party starting at noon. Bring
your best chili and enjoy the fellowship, see you then.
Greetings Prophets,
Thank you for allowing me to be
the Master of Ceremonies in 2015. I
will continue to serve the Mohassan
Grotto to the best of my ability. I
would be remiss if I did not recognize
the line officers and the good work
that they do. Please do not hesitate to
ask questions of me or this organization and the Brother Prophets.
I was joined at the installation by
some guests which I wish to recognize
at this time and thank them for their
support. Although I was installed as
Venerable Prophet in January, I welcome the opportunity to be upgraded
to the Master of Ceremonies. The
Monarch asked me to serve the Grotto
at both capacities during the Stated
Meetings or until at least Mohassan
Grotto can choose the next Venerable
Prophet.
I left a message on the Monarchs
voice mail that suggested we in the
line need to get on the same page in
order to lead as a team. The key to

Freemasonry is brotherhood which
implies every member is equal some
how. Although I am trying to suggest I
am telling the truth that can some
times be misconstrued. An example is
when a message is passed from one
person to the next and on down the
chain the message is lost some how,
although incrementally. It is an experiment you can try with a group of people. This observation is significant
because it happens in this organization
as well. All Brother Prophets need to
be accountable for the Grotto and realize we are Brothers first and secondarily Prophets.
Fraternally Yours,
Martin Swanson

Howdy!
Here we go again, the Bikers are
starting their Fish/Chicken Dinners
again.
The first Dinner will be on February
6th from 4:30 to 7 P.M.. And hopefully
will continue every month except July
and October.
The Biker Meeting will be February
5th at 6 P.M.. I hope every MEMBER
can be there.
Being able to speak for Club Mokan
also, I'm sorry to say that there will be
NO SUPER BOWL party this year due to
lack of interest. [This is getting pretty
D___M SAD !!!!!!]
BUT KEEP SMILIN & LET'S
PARTY!!
R.B.A.
The big day came and is now
already gone. On January 14th this
year Phyl and I celebrated with a little
party for our 70th Wedding
Anniversary. Because the 14th was in
the middle of the week we had a gettogether on Sunday the 11th for some
of our relatives and friends. According
to the caterer there were more than
300 attending in spite of a snow storm
during the time. That is a sign of true
friends who enjoy a party, whatever the
weather. Our kids, the caterer, the
cupcake lady, members of the Elks,
and many others, all did a beautiful,
memorable job. An added surprise
was Derek Grant who burst into the
dining area playing his Bagpipes in full
Scottish kilt. What great friends are he
and Sue. Thank You!
I take this opportunity to also
thank all of our Masonic friends (both
male and female) who either made it to
the affair or sent cards, or did both.
Terry Riesen said he could not find a
card that had 70th anniversary printed
on the front of the card. He said they
only go up to 60 years. To date we
have received 122 cards. What a
memorable day. We can never forget it
nor our friends.

I just want to send a reminder out
to the Cauldron ladies that meetings

Can’t wait to see everyone and get

excited for things to come! I want

QUILTERS
Our numbers were small for quilters this month, with members off on
trips or South for the winter. We
missed you guys.
We discussed some changes for
the next year. We will continue with
the teddy bears but we will add some
smaller animals so that they will fit
better in the incubators, for the "little
ones".
We will be making hats and
scarves each month so that we have
our 75-100 done for the kids at shelter at Christmas time. Come join us if
you would like to help, we can find
plenty to keep everyone busyand we
serve a pretty good lunch. Hope to see
you this month, third Thursday at 9
AM.

Greetings Prophets, Ladies & Frends,
Probably been a long time since
you’ve read one of my articles, but I
will try my best to amuse you.
I believe “YE ED” (Norm Peters)
called it GNIKOOL DRAWKCAB. So
this is my version of something like
that.
It’s been 18 years since I was
Monarch of Mohassan Grotto. I had a
great year with the help of my lady
Mary, friends Tom & Diane Taylor,
Wally & Phyl Miller, and Ray & Lois
Moldenschardt along with a lot of
other Prophets & Ladies who helped
at dinners and special events at the
Club and at conventions.
During my year as Monarch, the
Supreme Grotto Convention was held
in Columbia, Missouri (same place as
this year).
Besides being remembered as the
Smashed Drum we had a funeral for
WD (more on this later). Mohassan
Grotto took home almost all the
awards there were...
1) Best Grotto: Most members coming the longest distance in miles.
2) Drums & Bugles: 1st in
Competition and 1st in Parade.
3) Mini Bikers: 1st in Competition
and 1st in Parade.
4) Model T’s: 1st in Competition
and 1st in Parade.
5) Hospitality Room: 1st Place
Anybody heard from “YE ED”
(Norm Peters)? Hope you are doing
well and we hear from you soon.
I ran into Prophet Myron Swanson
awhile back at the Old Rusy Nail. He’s
been a members of Mohassan for over
64 years I believe.
Hope to see you all around the
Realm somewhere.
In Goodfellowship,
Eugene “Bones” Koehler
