Park Air T6 Controller For complete control of ATC radios P ark Air T6 controller allows enhanced remote operation of Park Air radios from single or multiple user positions. The combination of a refined touch screen user interface and a DSP architecture results in a flexible and scalable system that is ideally suited for primary use in small airports, fallback operation for large ATC systems, airline dispatch offices and emergency services. The operator accesses all controls via a user configurable touch screen panel. Controls include programming and recall of radio channels, monitoring of radio status and main/standby change‑over. Four programmable single touch access keys provide immediate recall of important operational frequencies. A single T6 controller can be connected directly to a local radio channel providing full operational control. Additional slave controllers can be added to the first master controller. Up to ten operator positions can be connected to a radio channel with programming carried out at the master automatically flowed down to the slave controllers. Intercom facilities allow operators to communicate within the interconnected network. The T6 controller is optimised for remote operation over a single trunk communication link, including satellite, 4-wire ITU, microwave and fibre optic. Operation over a trunk line uses a hub located at the radio site to interface to the radio equipment; audio, PTT and mute signalling plus RCMS data are combined onto a single 4-wire link between controller and hub. The hub interfaces directly to the radio equipment. Using a built-in microphone, loudspeaker and PTT switch the T6 controller can be used as a stand alone unit without the need for external headsets. Extensive interfaces are also provided for users who prefer to use traditional headsets or hand microphone operation.
