It aims to provide an alternative place of work to the home office for Central Coast employees who want to work from home and reduce the amount of commuting to Sydney or Newcastle. Sonia Pansare will manage the hub, connecting people and providing assistance. Ms Pansare has a management degree majoring in marketing and has worked in Germany, the US and Thailand. “Working close to home is only a dream for most people on the coast but, thanks to the new smart hub, more residents can enjoy an improved work-life balance, thanks to Nexus,” Ms Pansare said. “I am convinced that this hub will improve people’s wellbeing. “They will be able to fit in running errands and sport before or after work, drop the kids at school and be home in time for dinner. “And with child care and gym right here on site at the hub.” WHAT IS IT? The smart hub will provide an alternative office space for people who commute. The hub will also benefit small and micro businesses and entrepreneurs by providing them with private offices, a collaboration space, hot desks, meeting rooms and super-fast internet speeds.
