KPW26 and KPD Keypads
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The KPW26 and KPD are slimline, vandal proof and weatherproof
keypads that are ideal for both internal and external access control
applications. Each keypad is constructed as a rugged, sealed, one-piece
unit with no moving parts. Both keypads are designed to be used with an
access control system.
The KPW26 stores the digits keyed into the keypad (between 1 and
65,534). When the ‘#’ (enter) key is entered, the complete number is
sent to the controller in a standard 26-bit Wiegand format in the same
way that a card reader sends a card number. The KPW26 attaches a
pre‑configured site code.
The KPD sends each digit keyed as a separate 8-bit number. This allows
the controller to determine the length of the PIN.
Both keypads have additional features such as tamper alarm and video
control output.
