COMPOSITION
Aquamectin 0.2% Veterinary Medicated Premix Oral
Powder, for the treatment of fishes: contains 2 mg
emamectin benzoate in each gram, and is a white
cream-colored homogenous powder with fine particles
designed for oral use.
FIELD OF USE / INDICATIONS
Aquamectin 0.2% Oral Powder/VMP is used for the treatment of parasitic infestation
caused by all the development stages of sea lice (Lepeophtheirus salmonis, Caligus
sp.) in Atlantic salmons (Salmo salar), rainbow trouts (Oncorhynchus mykiss).
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Unless otherwise recommended by veterinarians; Aquamectin 0.2% Oral
Powder/VMP is administered orally by mixing with feeds. Pharmacological dose is
50 mg/kg/day and administered for 7 days. Practical dose: 1g Aquamectin 0.2% Oral
Powder/VMP treats 40 kg of body weight.
The recommended number of therapy: should not exceed 5 times of therapy
throughout the life cycle, but not more than 3 times within 12 months.

Preparation of Medicated Feed:
Pre-weighed Aquamectin 0.2% Oral Powder/VMP is added into a mixer or a food
mixer (should be clean, dry and sensitive), 1% oil (fish oil or soybean oil) is sprayed
during the mixing process. After mixing 5 more minutes, the homogenized mixture of
feed and medication is ready to use. The fishes should be fasted for 12-24 hours
prior to the treatment. Rate of feed may vary depending on water temperature and
the size of the fish. Medicated feed should be prepared freshly on a daily basis.
WARNINGS ABOUT DRUG RESIDUES IN FOODS
Withdrawal time is zero (0) days for marine fishes and 372ºC/day for trouts. This
should be performed a maximum of 1 times within 60-day period prior to the harvest
for Marine fishes and within 100-day period prior to the harvest for trouts, not to
exceed the EMEA MRL values.
