Eligibility Requirements
 A CHSE candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of
experience in a healthcare simulation education setting.
 Your simulation expertise is focused on learners in
either undergraduate, graduate, allied health and/or
healthcare practitioners.
 You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
experience.
 You have shown continued use of simulation in
healthcare education, research or administration in the
last two years.

CHSE-A Eligibility
 Must be a currently certified CHSE.

role.
 Focused simulation expertise on learners in
undergraduate, graduate, allied health or healthcare

 Master’s degree or equivalent experience.*
 Five years of continued use of simulation in healthcare
education, research, or administration.

focused portfolio
 Includes Reflective Statements
 MUST clearly show ability to critically self-reflect and
improve
 Portfolio takes between 20-40 hours to complete
 The challenge is to DEMONSTRATE your performance at
